Sandpoint's Selle Valley is known for it's overpowering views of Schweitzer Mountain Resort to the west and the overwhelming view of the Cabinet Mountains to the east (encompassing over 94,000 acres and protected by the Wilderness Act of 1964). The massive Schweitzer Bowls continually loom over "The Selle" reminding us of one of the reasons why we live in this Northwest Paradise. I was one of many who were lured to "powderful" Sandpoint, Idaho to frolic in Schweitzer Mountain's winter wonderland but that's not really what keeps me here.
