I never was much of a fisherman...even though I live on Lake Pend Oreille, home to some of the best trout fishing in the country. (Check out Seagull Charters here on the lake to book your next outing!). I always gravitated toward activities that I felt I could control more easily... tennis, hiking, climbing, skiing, etc. That's why I find it interesting that I have chosen real estate as a career. It's really a lot like fishing... I just couldn't pass up this WORDLESS WEDNESDAY post. I arrived back in "utopia" (Sandpoint, Idaho) this morning after a two week absence while visiting friends and family in Minnesota. It was astounding to come back to an explosion of wild lupine on our side hill. It kind of put an exclamation mark on why I missed this place so badly. (Nothing against Minnesota...it just isn't North Idaho).

This photo (the view I see every day driving away from my house here in Sandpoint) ALWAYS puts things in perspective. As I write this post, once again this view serves to calm the nerves. ...I've been trying to post this photo for two hours without much luck. Most of us want to be a integral part of everything around us. Not only a member of a community, but a member of the natural order of things.
