buyers: Low Inventory on Homes in the Triangle Area under $300k

I was just rereading this article from April in the News and Observer that discusses our short supply of homes under $300k and the problems this causes for new home buyers. It's a great article that buyers in our area need to read. Here is the inventory right now in Cary, Apex, Fuquay Varina and Holly Springs for single family homes under $300k... As you an see, we are still in a shortage!

Triangle MLS Market Report Shows Great Improvement Over 2011 How did your market do in August? In my part of the country, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill NC or the Triangle as we are also known, our market is picking up! For Wake-Durham-Orange and Johnston Countiesclosings are up 26% over 2011 – Pendings up 22% and best news of all would be, our housing supply is at 5 months over 7 months in 2011. My partner Carla Freund and I of Kowitz & Freund Realty have sold some of the greatest listings in the Raleigh-Durham, Triangle area of NC. We list homes all over the Triangle from Cary NC, Apex NC, Holly Springs NC to Fuquay Varinia NC and Clayton NC. We credit our success for Listing to Sales Price at an average of 97.5% which means doing research and pricing of homes that get buyers in the door, in addition to good marketing.
