At the time, Glenn Curtiss and James Bright could not have imagined how important Hialeah's location would be for transportation. In 1922, Curtiss and Bright just knew it was the Gateway to the Everglades and the first town west of Miami, FL. They believed in their projection of Hialeah and it was right on.
