This Saturday, October 13, Woods Humane, is holding its 20th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk, a fun day at Laguna Lake Park. As many as 400 dogs, and their people, take part in a one-mile walk through scenic Laguna Lake Park. People ask everyone they know to sponsor their participation. You can register online or print a registration form and mail or bring it to Woods. We do a fair number of mobile home sales in San Luis Obispo County, and most are located in parks. The parks all have rules, and the most important seem to involve pet ownership. This is such an issue that I've started a notebook containing copies of the rules (particularly pet ownership) for all the parks I deal with. This saves managers a lot of phone calls and emails, and it enables me to eliminate parks that don't allow pets or have other rules my buyers could not agree to.

A colleague at Coldwell Banker Premier Real Estate here in San Luis Obispo has written a terrific little book on how to safely and comfortably move your precious pets, and I think it deserves extra publicity. Marilyn Fidler is certainly the right person to write this book, as she has moved over a dozen times in her rather peripatetic life...and has always had at least one pet (currently she has two dogs and a cat).
