1955 - 58 Years Ago...
Comments  made in the year 1955!
I'll  tell you one thing, if things
keep  going the way they are,
its going to  be impossible to
buy a weeks  groceries for $10.00.

Have you seen the new  cars
coming out next year?  It  won't
be long before $1,000.00  will
only buy a used one.

If  cigarettes keep going up in
price,  I'm going to quit; 20 cents
a pack  is ridiculous.

Did  you hear the post office is
thinking  about charging 7 cents
just to mail  a letter.

You really need to watch the film below:
Our lives intersect with others all day, everyday. Sometimes we know these other lives well; frequently, though, the points of connection are brief and transient. Who are these people? How might they tell their own stories?  What thoughts preoccupy their minds? What joys and troubles are coursing through their feelings? This short film, produced by the Cleveland Clinic, reminds us that empathy is our tool for beginning to know these things. It asks … (0 comments)

Protect Your Home from Theft in Newport
The statistics are in, the City ofNewport Beachhad 397 Burglaries and 26
Robberies in 2011. More than 64% of all burglaries take place during the
day. Most houses are protected by simple and ineffective door and
window locks. Modern hardware is available for door and window locks
which will stop the amateur and slow up the experienced burglar.
Residential burglars often live near your home. They are opportunists who
look for easy targets. If the risk of detection is too high, the average
burglar will not attempt to enter your home.

newport: All My Sons - 02/21/11 04:39 AM
This weekend we attended a local theater in Newport Beach, Newport Theatre Arts Center on Cliff Drive. They usually have about 6 plays a season for about 6 weeks each.
This last one we attended was especially good. All My Sons. All the actors were exceptional. Talented, believable in their parts and you lost yourself in the action. The breat came and you didnt want to leave for fear of missing the second half.  Most of the actors are local talen that have preformed at Huntington Beach Playhouse, Long Beach, the Gallery Theatre, some have even had parts on TV like … (0 comments)

If you are looking for the lowest price, highest quality, recently upgraded home to buy at rock bottom prices...join the crowd.  That is what everyone wants. No one knows where the bottom of the market is but I believe we are very close to it if we haven't already hit it. Interest rates are at record lows and with the extension of the Federal $8000 credit for first time buyers and the $6500 for repeat buyers that is why were are getting multiple offers. That and the fact that a lot of agents are under pricing homes to fuel the feeding … (1 comments)

newport: Holiday Season Kickoff - 11/24/09 02:42 AM
What a pleasant surprise when we walked into Roger's Garden in Corona Del Mar last week and was greeted by a young lady handing everyone a nice glass of Merlot to stroll and sip and enjoy the Christmas decorations. It was amazing and entertaining and quite the social affair. We even had our little puppy with us, who by the way was quite a chick magnet. If I had only known when I was single. An annual tradition has now become a great kick off to the Christmas Season.  We will plan on going that same day each year.
There are many things in our local area that are … (0 comments)
