Merry Christmas Hammond, Indiana get the go ahead for 31.4 Million improvement plan for Wolf Lake, Lake George, and Lake Michigan. The Regional Development Authority approved a plan that would providea park and bike trails between Unilever and BP Refinery. Mayor Tom McDermott, Jr. describes the project as similar to green project that was completed at Portage Lakefront and it became the presence for Porter County. He is hoping that will do the same for Lake County. The project will further improve Whiting trail systems, connect Hammond Lakes to Chicago, and provide an outdoor amphitheater for summer concerts at Wolf Lake. (0 comments)

I was reading in today's newspaper that the changes in population of different counties in Indiana is being treated as "a sporting event where you compete with neighboring counties. My question here is how do the counties compete? If they compete is it healthy? Does it help the residents with this competition? I continued reading the article only to discover that 56 of the 92 counties in Indiana have grown in population all other counties have decreased population at different rates. According to Internal Revenue Code Section 1031, an investor can sell a property and reinvest the proceeds in a new property. Response: Yes, I have the preliminary HUD 1, hardship letter, financial statement, purchase agreement, listing agreement, and title work. I even asked if they need a BPO. Response No need for bpo. The above was the headline in the local paper here in Indiana. This headline has a lot of meaning to me because I was part of the call to action. Here in Indiana, we went through a tax reassessment. The reassessment has it problems, but the results was that taxes went up in some cases 110%. Wow, you say. Well, when this happen the realtors felt that action needed to be taken to help the homeowners in this crisis. Called AT&T on the DSL service connection only to find out that they are not having issues with service in my area. Really? So, what seems to be the problem? Well, let' look at your modem. Criminal take most of their time coming up with the next scam. Well, this one is no different. In Chicago area, there is a scam where an inmate calls a citizen using a collect call. Then, if the citizen accepts the call the inmate hijacks the citizen's phone number. The basis of the scam is that the inmate calls several numbers collect and pose as a police officeer stationed at the jail.
