- 03/15/08 09:13 AM
Today, I attend a comprehensive plan or vision for Gary, IN. This plan covers the next twenty years. Twenty years? It has not taken twenty years for others to get their act together, so why will it take twenty years for Gary to get its act together. Well, let's examine Gary. Poor schools, high crime, lot of trash, etc. Each problem has a solutions that involves the residents of Gary doing something. That something is caring and acting. Acting to improve, not tear down. Improve, not point fingers. The plan today talked about what could be done to improve the area, but (3 comments)

- 03/14/08 12:10 PM
The above was the headline in the local paper here in Indiana. This headline has a lot of meaning to me because I was part of the call to action. Here in Indiana, we went through a tax reassessment. The reassessment has it problems, but the results was that taxes went up in some cases 110%. Wow, you say. Well, when this happen the realtors felt that action needed to be taken to help the homeowners in this crisis. The realtors felt that it was not only necessary for our professional careers, but the right thing to do as homeowners and business (1 comments)
indiana real estate: Finding Your Niche
- 02/29/08 04:31 PM
If you love real estate then explore and research should be second nature. In order, to find a niche that will work for you. You must know yourself and then get to know your market. Getting to know yourself is important because you need to understate what you will or will not do. In the REO world, there are alot of things you may encounter that may not be pleasant like eviction, trash out, etc. You need to know if you can handle being the bearer of bad news by telling someone they have to more because the bank wants the (5 comments)

Called AT&T on the DSL service connection only to find out that they are not having issues with service in my area. Really? So, what seems to be the problem? Well, let' look at your modem. Then, I was asked where is the modem located? Answer: on the floor (been in the same location for over 4 months) Question: Is it a hardwood floor? Answer: No, it is on carpet. Response: Maybe Static electricity is causing the problem. Put something about an inch thick (7 comments)
indiana real estate: Now You Want to be A Real Estate Investor
- 02/18/08 12:01 AM
Thinking of Becoming Real Estate Investor Let's examine what you need to be concerned with if you want to invest in real estate? First, you must understand your market. There are two different types of market. One type of market is a seller's market, and the other type of market is the buyer's market. In a buyer's market, the buyer must be aware that being in a buyer's market doesn't make the buyer's job any easier. It just gives the buyer more flexibility. Remember in a buyer's market, there may be several buyers for one property or only one buyer for (4 comments)

indiana real estate: Do You Need to Do a Short Sale
- 02/07/08 01:52 AM
It is very important to know if a short sale is the best answer for your situation. A short sale becomes a viable option when you cannot get what you are owed on the property because of changes in the market. You may be thinking why would the lender allow a short sale and why would the seller want to do a short sale? Both answers to those questions depend on the market and economics.
