country life: Photo Essay: Colorado Wildlife on a COLD Morning

This winter, my favorite thing way to spend the cold, snowy weekends is at a friend’s charming log home in Elizabeth, Colorado. Elizabeth is small rural community located about equidistance from Denver and Colorado Springs. When I woke up this morning, it was maybe 4 degrees outside. When I finally ventured downstairs and looked out the windows, I was grateful that my camera was close by.
Regardless of whether a country home is your primary residence or your weekend get away, the ability to see wildlife from your living room window is a (11 comments)

A home in the country is not for everyone. Some say "it is too remote. It Is too quiet. The stores are too far away." That is fine. Country life is not for every one. This home is located about 20 minutes south of Colorado Springs. It is 20 minutes north of Pueblo. It is effectively in the middle of "no where." I live in this Colorado country home. When I woke up yesterday and looked out, this is what I saw.

country life: Parks or Pastures???

Have you ever considered how NOT considering other people's points of view creates problems? Based on the College Station City Council election results, the idea of parks and green space appears to be very high on a lot of the voters agendas. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what do people really want. I asked myself, "Which park do I like best and why?"
College Station's Lick Creek Park, on Rock Prarie Road East, is currently one of my two favorite parks in College Station. Lick Creek consists of 515 acres. I love jogging out there because it is a (3 comments)
Answer: It depends on QUEEN Scratch's mood. Scratch is the cat. Little Peppy is the poodle puppy. He's got lots of hair to keep him safe if she has to "enforce her rules" Alright, since this is a real estate site, I guess I should mention real estate. Notice the stained concrete floor in the background. Although the fuzz and dust show up on against the dark color, stained concrete makes a nice, attractive, floor for those of us living in the country.
