Have you ever heard a line in a movie that just kind of stuck with you, even years after you read a book or watched a movie? For me, in Margaret Mitchell's, "Gone With the Wind," Gerald O'Hara made a comment to his daughter Scarlet about land, early in the story. For whatever reason, his comment to was seared into my memory as if he spoke it to me. land: Hard to Photograph Listings

I think one of my favorite things about getting a new listing is taking the pictures of the property. I enjoy REALLY looking at a home or a piece of land, trying to figure out would be the best shots. With digital cameras and a large memory card, I can take more pictures than I will ever need. Afterwards, I sort through the pictures, deciding which ones "best" highlight the property. For me, the ultimate compliment is when my pictures remind my clients of why they love their home or land. land: Colorado land IS selling: Colorado Springs Land Market Report

Despite all the doom and gloom that you hear on the news, land IS selling in the Colorado Springs area. In fact, 7 more land transactions closed this year between June 1 and Sept. 29 as compared to the same time period last year. Over the last four months, 34 land transactions closed as compared to 27 last year. Additionally, more expensive tracts have been selling this year. The source of my data is from the Pikes Peak MLS.
