tablet pc: iPad versus Tablet for working away from the office

Being a Technology Power user for the last 15 years I have yet to own a Tablet PC or iPad. Yet I am thinking of getting something that is touch-screen so I can have clients sign documents while at their location and one of these two devices seem to be a good fit. I like my 13.3" MacBookPro that can dual boot to Windows XP, but somehow with the clear casing, it seems to weight like a ton of bricks and was looking into something lighter like the iPad or Tablet. Song San has been in the Technology industry for over 15 years dealing with many aspects of technology including desktops, servers, web design, web programming, database, and management. Song worked for and consulted for a long list of startups, multi-million, and multi-billion dollar companies including Pom Wonderful, Circor Aerospace, Suncal, and Fox Interactive.
Song is also a real estate broker in the Los Angeles, California area. He does a lot of networking with buyers, sellers, investors, and agents for many hours on a daily basis.
