It might not be fresh It might be more associated with the wrong market It has taken over as a place where certain listings that Craigslist.org has stopped taken ads for BUT IT LINKS WELL WITH GOOGLE AND CAN GIVE YOU A LISTING ON A SEARCH ENGINE SEARCH FOR YOUR LISTINGS ON PAGE 1. It is presently FREE! St Louis House Painting used it every now and then!
The site is backpage.com! Hope you will find benefit! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU TITLE AND KEYWORDS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT TO WHAT YOU ARE POSTING eg Manhattan, Central Park, Condo, 1,200 square feet … (3 comments)
backpage: I was surprised this morning! My blogger blog is starting to show!

I have been using blogger.com for a few weeks and never saw a listing on page 1 of Google. This morning I found one of my recent blogs on page 2 for some search terms. My thinking now is that blogger.com is worth my time and I hope that it gets more results in the future.
You should also consider using backpage.com as it's ads do show up by search engines.
Keywords search was a long tail "Kirkwood House Painter"
