Spirit of Cooperation or Risk Averse Practice?

'Lil Red, the Rocket Scientist and her commercial airline pilot husband began looking for a forever home. Though skilled in her chosen profession, she imagined that purchasing a house would be very easy-peasy.

She logged into a national real estate site that listed most available homes within the area that held their interest. She called on a property and made arrangements with the listing agent to get inside and take a look.

The agent encouraged the couple to hire a buyer agent to help guide them through the process but to no avail. They parted ways. A … (17 comments)

Commission-Baited Breath Stinks!

Recently, in the Q & A, Will Hamm asked about how many touches agents made each day and how. Some may phone daily or weekly, others practice a once a month routine or send out mailings to remain top of mind.

There is no right or wrong way to retain or bring in new clientele, unless it egregiously interferes with established real estate relationships. Some agents are ultra-aggressive, marring or crossing ethical lines to gain more business at any cost. Many think they'll never get caught or be reported.

adhering to the code of ethics: BRING a BUYER!  - 09/06/16 10:38 PM
BRING a BUYER!

This message is to the egotistical, pompous agent who told my clients he can get their home sold...please BRING a BUYER!

This person went on to tell them that he is very aggressive, from a well known brokerage and can get the home under contract in no time! All they have to do is get out of the current listing agreement...

I say again...

Bring a BUYER!

The real estate market has shifted once again, some people are extremely anxious for business, will overstep boundaries and undermine established relationships to achieve their sales goals.

No more contact or he'll wish to have simply...

Brought a BUYER!
