chasing rainbows: My favorite southern Ut-ahhh colors are sunrise and sunset! - 09/18/17 04:14 PM
My favorite southern Ut-ahhh colors are sunrise and sunset!

Living in the moment means leaving little chance to missed opportunities. Being present shows appreciation of your surroundings and those around you, whether sitting poolside with good friends, hiking a nature trail or walking along the beach at dusk with family members.

One thing's for sure, a sunrise or sunset are my favorite colors, rainbows are a close second! Happy day all!

chasing rainbows: Rainbows in my clouds. - 07/09/17 11:14 AM
Rainbows in my clouds.

An overcast day brings nature's beauty to the forefront in true form. While readying to rain, the sun sustained through the heavy vapor, creating a most beautiful rainbow arcing down from the heavens.

On any day of the week, there may be rainbows in my clouds but plan to make the most of what is offered! Happy Sunday all!

ANGLER ALERT: Free Fishing Day in Utah

Let's go FISHING! Saturday, June 10, 2017 is Free Fishing Day. Everyone in Utah can fish for free that day. Please remember to follow the rules and laws in place, they still apply and remember to have FUN!

Washington County, Utah has some amazing fishing areas that are great for day fishing or weekend camping trips. Local lakes and streams are teeming with fresh water fish. Utah yearly fishing licenses cost $34 dollars for adults, less for seniors and children. For more information go to: http://wildlife.utah.gov/licenses/license_fees.php

chasing rainbows: Chasing rainbows...again! - 06/12/16 11:22 PM
Chasing rainbows...again!

I love rainbows... and browns...and cut throats...and tigers...and brookies...and goldens...and splakes... What is a splake, you ask? A hybrid fish that is a cross between a Lake Trout and a Brook Trout.

It is found and can be caught in Utah's lakes and reservoirs at:
Causey Reservoir Fish Lake Mill Meadow Reservoir Joe's Valley Reservoir
Are you ready for some FISHING? I am. We'll see you on the water when finished at the closing table!

Today is.

And will be. Every second, minute and hour spent, that is guaranteed because time waits for no one.
Up before light to begin a new work week with people to call, to follow up because I have rainbows in my clouds on this fine Monday morning.
How about you?

chasing rainbows: Just a smidgen of color. - 04/14/13 12:21 AM
Just a smidgen of color.

Mother Nature creates impact for those who appreciate her work. As the surrounding countryside was immersed in cloud cover anticipating a Spring shower, a break in the coverage created a smidgen of color in the distance, highlighting the area.

Sometimes when a rainbow is abruptly halted in mid air, you must use your smidgenation!

Happy Sunday all!

Speechless Sunday (almost!): Sending a little sunshine your way. Rainbow included!

Rainbow included!
Sheets of rain, blowing winds and billowing clouds can wreak havoc then turn quickly into an ahhh! moment. Darkness that turns to light in mere moments as the sun peeks through the heavy vapor cover, creating a rainbow bright moment! Why not make the most of this beautiful Sunday before us?
We are off to a great start so far!

chasing rainbows: Every storm has a rainbow ending! - 08/12/12 11:28 PM
Every storm has a rainbow ending!

You must search for it at times but it is there once the clouds clear and the rain dissipates.

Traumatic life events come at you hard causing complacency and feelings of despair or even paralysis. Friends and family are ever so important during these times and though it may be difficult to ask for help or accept an offer of kindness...Allow it. Embrace it. Embrace them. They are present because they wish to be and may help you heal.

Rainbows are there, like friends and family and once the clouds clear and the rain dissipates, you may see a … (16 comments)

chasing rainbows: MUST SEE! A rare DOUBLE RAINBOW! - 08/02/11 02:28 AM

MUST SEE! A rare
DOUBLE RAINBOW!
My husband and I threw together a quick plan for a day fishing trip to Panguitch Lake, just the two of us.
We packed, hooked up the pontoon boat and away we went! Reaching the lake about 1:00 p.m., launched the boat and sat back for the rest of the day...
Baiting Casting  Catching  Releasing Keeping Relaxing  The day offered plenty of sunshine, clouds and then all of a sudden a squall moved in, forcing us off the lake! We also caught another beauty after the storm passed over...I guess you could say we caught a DOUBLE RAINBOW!

Wow! What … (53 comments)

chasing rainbows: Speechless Sunday (almost!): FREE GIFT via Mother Nature! - 06/06/10 02:10 PM

Stepping outside after a recent downpour, I looked across the parking lot and gazed in awe at the gift that Mother Nature left after the passing storm! An amazing rainbow was s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y across the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at the local Red Cliffs Mall in St. George, Utah.
I began to wonder if she was giving me a sign to go to peruse the isles in search of a good book buy or audiotape. Hmmmm, Nah, I realized, it wasn't about me at all!
She was in a gift-giving mood!
Thank you very much Mother Nature, gift accepted and much appreciated.

chasing rainbows: Motivational Monday: I’m Off Chasing Rainbows Again! - 11/16/09 12:06 AM

On our way into St. George the other morning, my mind already on the full day in front of me, I barely noticed the sun trying to break through the dark, ominous clouds. My son Spensyr suddenly said, "Mom, do you see that rainbow?"
I looked to the right side near the red cliffs and was amazed to see a FULL RAINBOW! And a double rainbow is starting just above the left side if you look closely.
I-have-been-known-to-chase-rainbows! I quickly pulled the car over, got out and proceeded to take a series of pictures that I hoped to piece together … (17 comments)
