My husband has always wanted to attend a Celtic Woman concert and this year we will be going, thanks to Dixie State University in St. George, Utah! Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish musical ensemble, conceived and created by David Kavanagh, a former musical director of the Irish stage show Riverdance. We are both very excited!

Celebrate this holiday season with the celestial voices of multi-platinum Irish singing sensation Celtic Woman as they present Home For Christmas – The Symphony Tour. Featuring music from the all-female music ensemble’s second Christmas album, Home For Christmas, including holiday favorites “I’ll … (5 comments)

christmas celebrations: Charity from the heart... - 12/19/15 07:05 AM
Charity from the heart...

My husband and I went to the shopping mall and decided to get a picture taken with Santa. While sitting on his lap, he told us about a six-year old girl who recently visited, asking only of gifts for her little sister.

Nothing for herself.

How thoughtful for a girl of such young age especially when most kids are self-centered, wanting only their wish lists to be fulfilled. Generosity often shows up at times when you least expect it.

FYI: There are only 5 Fridays left 'till Christmas!

Plan a Christmas Caroling activity! Invite family members, fellow agents, neighbors and friends to join in. Downtown areas with a lot of foot traffic are best! Or go door-to-door in neighborhood areas. You can also send out a flyer prior to announce the event. Above all, have FUN!
Dress up in Santa hats, decorative holiday scarves and carry song books. Mix it up and sing some traditional songs like "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen", "The First Noel" with some newer tunes like "What a Glorious Night" and "For All The World."

Looking for Christmas activities for family members or guests? How about planning a Christmas Tree-Trimming Party? One of the best things about special gatherings is decorating the Christmas tree -- make it a FUN affair with a tree-trimming party. Before guests arrive, set up the tree and string the lights and garland. Place ornaments and ribbons in baskets so they're easily accessible. If you're providing snacks, make them mess-free: nuts, fruits and veggies, snack mixes, and cookies are good options. Also, provide gluten-free alternatives for people with food allergies.

Family holiday photos create lasting memories to be cherished. Be sure to pre-schedule a photo session with a professional photographer or tell your own story with digital photographs of holiday gatherings with family and friends. There are many one-hour photo stores who can print them quickly and you can create mini-photo albums and give them out as gifts to create smiles all around.

Need a change of view? Ride a camel!
Tuacahn Ampitheatre offered camel rides during the Festival of Lights for $5 and money well spent! I eagerly stood in line with children a third my size, becoming giddy, watching my son and his girlfriend take their turn, openly laughing with bright smiles on their faces! How exciting!

I had to climb the stairs to get at the right height and then straddle his back to get situated. His hump was warm and his hair very soft and curly as we began a short journey around the parking lot. His padded feet … (13 comments)

We had the privilege of seeing the Live Naitivity for the first time this year at Tuacahn Ampitheatre in Ivins, Utah. The show lasted a mere 20 minutes but gave an thorough history of the birth of Christ and the true meaning of Christmas.
It is a memorable event that continues to draw people yearly, night after night. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic feel of the story and from our home to yours, Merry Christmas!

Elvis was in the building! Washington County Board of REALTORS® Christmas Party 2012
It was a little less conversation and a little more action when Elvis took the stage last night at the Annual Washington County Board of REALTORS® Christmas Party! This year’s theme was “Viva Las Vegas.”

Several hundred agents and guests enjoyed the electric atmosphere as Elvis belted out some of his greatest hits. With cell phones snapping pictures, he moved through the crowd with ease and confidence. At one point I thought he was singing just to me…Love me tender. Love me sweet. Never let me go…that was the power that … (7 comments)
