In my selling area of Washington County, Utah, there are 13 remote offices that are open every day of the week, all year round to play a quick round of 9 or go a full 18 holes on a championship course.
My Top 5 Reasons to Golf:
1. Anyone can play. Skill level matters little when first starting. Besides, golf lessons are available at most courses.
2. Connection with nature. Wildlife on courses include: Rabbits, squirrels, various birds of all sizes, an occasional fox.

Golfing year round is one of the perks of living in southern Utah. Of course, I make best use of the land around us, like setting up brainstorming meetings to discuss real estate with fellow agents and clients.
We are blessed to live in a part of the state where many people want to call home. Thirteen golf courses keep us making the rounds!

Driving it Home at the Remote Office.
Meeting with fellow agents allows the opportunity to catch up and also to bounce ideas off one another. Quite often, the subject of real estate comes up while driving the fairways and hitting it home.
What better way to brainstorm than at one of southern Utah's 13 golf courses?
Several of us have done this for many years and an open invitation stands, weather permitting, for a quick 9 holes. Everyone enjoys an afternoon of exercise along with fellow companionship.

On Sunday mornings, we meet our friends to golf Dixie Red Hills, a quick 9-hole course built among gigantic red rock bluffs and sandstone formations of St. George. Today, like every time, we hit it off...the tee box that is!
The Dixie Red Hills Golf Course, located just off Bluff Street in St. George, Utah was built in 1966. It was the first golf course in the area and only had 7 holes to start. The 1st and 2nd hole had to be played twice.

Many states are implementing a Shelter in Place or Stay at Home Order by limiting contact, in an effort to prevent further spreading of the Coronavirus. Thank goodness we are able to socially distance ourselves here.
Golfing is a fantastic option, a stress reliever, promotes healthy habits and gets you out into the fresh air. All four City of St. George courses: Sunbrook, Southgate, St George GC and Dixie Red Hills are open for business.
Playing about in the outdoors amidst the amazing hardscape backdrops is also uplifting. Now that large gatherings are prohibited, it's good to know there are options in southern Utah rather than being holed up.

LINKS magazine just listed Dixie Red Hills golf course as one of Our Favorite 9-Hole Golf Courses in an article written by Tony Dear. It was designed by local golf legend Ernie Schneider and is also my 'remote office'.
Located just off Bluff Street in St. George, Utah, it was built in 1966. Dixie Red Hills was the first golf course in the area and only had 7 holes to start. The 1st and 2nd hole had to be played twice. It is a local favorite.

It's fall y'all and what better way to experience the cooler temps than getting out and playing a round? While Dixie Red Hills is over-seeding, Sunbrook Golf Course, a local 27-hole course will accommodate!

The office called me in yesterday.
And of course, I complied. That is the strong work ethic that guides my life!
When duty beckons, you will find me present and accounted fore. Also, to further clarify, it was the remote office at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course rather than the downtown St. George office on Main Street.
After working 6 days in a row, teeing it up on a pristine green sets the tone fore the upcoming week. Up to the minute planning, straightaway strategies, overcoming obstacles while moving forward is key.

There's nothing weepy about this southern Utah tree!
It's limbs are draped quite spectacularly with the finest ultra-vivid greenery. In the breeze, they appear to shimmy, swaying softly, from left to right to left. Nature knows there is nothing weepy about this gorgeous tree!
Spring has sprung here in the St. George, Utah area. Oh look, there's a squirrel...Gotta go. This is a photo opp I refuse to miss. Happy Sunday all from Dixie Red Hills Golf Course!

Some great friendships begin on a southern Utah golf course.
For many years now, my husband and I have played around on St. George area golf courses, whether with family, friends, for charity or for the Washington County Board of REALTORS yearly outing.
On a bright, sunny day, a guest came along, vying for attention. While waiting to hit onto the green, I was able to snap a photo of him just hanging out nearby. Wow, what a good looking fellow!

After driving the ball from the ladies tee on the 3rd hole at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course in St. George, Utah, I came around this natural rock formation and took a double take.
Can you see the face in this beautiful jutting red rock cliff overlook? I can. But I also know that I have quite an active imagination!

Saturday, three friends and I golfed at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course, a local favorite 9-hole course in St. George, Utah. The day was overcast, a bit windy but provided a cool alternative to days previously spent in 3-digit temperatures.
After a few quick lessons on chipping, we were on our way to a fantastic day of golf amid the red rocks bluffs and jutting cliffs and green fairways offering the most spectacular views!
We had some fantastic drives...putts and chip ins.
As we made our way from one hole to the other.

A Good Day at Work!
That is the saying, however, turn it into a positive and do both to make it a great day! Three friends and I golfed at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course early this morning to beat the heat and get 9-holes of golf finished before noon and then had a delicious light lunch at the Bent Fork in St. George, Utah.
I proceeded to my office to scan paperwork to finish up a transaction that-closed-today! My clients got everything they asked for in a home, including an indoor heated community pool at the price they agreed upon. And because they are happy, I am happy … (32 comments)
