When Brian Rasmussen and Barbara Watson took on this tree for the Jubilee of Trees celebration, they put their heart and soul into it. Each miniature is an exact replica of a historic building in the St. George, Utah area. My husband and I will be attending today's St. George Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Dixie Center to take a look at this year's trees and enjoy a fabulous meal.

Thankful Thursdays: Nightmare Before Christmas tree!

If you are a Tim Burton fan, then you will absolutely adore this tree at the Jubilee of Trees Celebration in St. George, Utah! A Halloween fantasy take on Christmas complete with witches, goblins, ghouls and werewolves with a round-a-bout love story between Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King and Sally, the rag doll woman.

Feared that Nightmare Before Christmas would be too dark and scary for the little ones, it was actually hailed as a critical and financial success.

Thank goodness that...

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Who, you say? Why Horton of course!

One of my favorite displays at the Jubilee of Trees Celebration this year was a Horton Hears A Who set of trees with Horton climbing to the very top, while gently grasping a pink flower in his trunk. Whimsical comes to mind when looking at this elaborate, fun-filled scene! Horton attracted everyone of all ages for a closer look...myself included!

Even Santa agrees!

This is one of the many imaginative Christmas scenes on display for the Annual Jubilee of Trees; from a Tim Burton - Nightmare before Christmas tree to a Dr. Suess - Horton Hears a Who scene. They were all festive and beautifully done. There was even a joyfully decorated joshua tree!

This year marked the 30th Anniversary of the Jubilee of Trees and honored ongoing breast cancer programs at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
