dixie sunshiners: Thankful Thursdays: Trucker Appreciation Day in southern Utah! - 09/19/12 11:06 PM
Thankful Thursdays: Trucker Appreciation Day in southern Utah!

The St. George Area Chamber Dixie Sunshiners will be at the northbound and southbound Arizona/Utah Port of Entry on I-15 today as we show our appreciation to over-the-road haulers.
A bag of goodies will be offered to every truck that passes through the port, donated by RMC Foods. Southern Utah relies heavily on the National Trucker’s Association to transport products to our area and ship them out as we have no train tracks to carry goods like other cities. The Trucker Appreciation event at the Port of Entry is sponsored by the Southern Utah … (11 comments)

It's Columbus Day, why didn't I know THAT?!
I awoke this morning, showered, got dressed, roused the boys, fed them and out the door we go to get them to school, all the while knowing that I had an important Monday morning meeting to attend. Motivational Mondays: Is "Service to others" important to you?

Have you heard the saying that "A person will be remembered for their service to others?" Do you believe it? Quite honestly, I do. That is one reason to get involved in community events and why I am a proud member of the St. George area Chamber of Commerce Dixie Sunshiners.
We are a community oriented group that welcomes new businesses into the area by attending ribbon cuttings, open houses, also participating in parades, volunteering for local events throughout the year and taking part in the weekly Chamber luncheons. We average between 3 - 5 events per … (16 comments)
