Certain times of the year can be tough on people who may be alone, have experienced traumatic events or are grieving the loss of loved ones. While some remain effervescent, others get immersed in sadness or anger at what they're dealt.
Everyone handles grief differently. It is important to speak about it, to feel it, keep to the routines, eat and get as much sleep as possible.

Some people are aware of the limited time left on earth while others wake, thinking they have all the time in the world, taking their days for granted.
My little sister was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma, an incurable type of cancer. Given 60 days to live about 40 days ago, she traveled across the country to see her oldest daughter get married.
That was her most important goal and she achieved it through an aggressive series of chemo and radiation. She finally could do no more, the treatments had ravaged her body and mind.
