Nature sincerely displays...

How often do you show up for business, ready to be present, putting aside personal events, giving clients the best of your time and effort? Most of the time, it can be done in the best or worst of circumstances.

But today, my heart is broken. Our niece's 2 year old baby Addison passed away suddenly. We helped them celebrate her short life and then bury her tiny body this past weekend. I am still crying for her little family, our family, who will forever be touched by this tragedy.

So thankful that I do not have to pretend all is ok right now and … (7 comments)

Catching Kisses on Mother's Day!

This is for all the moms out there who love and cherish their children, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! May your day be beautiful and bright and spent with loved ones. Today, we invited our daughter in law Devyn and Kenslee Mae out for brunch while our son delivered goods to Montana today.

Devyn has embraced being mom to little Kenslee Mae aka #LittleMissIndependent with her entire heart and soul. She likes to blow kisses and this Gma enjoys catching each and every one. We love our family so much and are looking forward to creating more lasting memories together! 💕♥️💕

I wish all your troubles be bubbles. ~ Nerdin Gardens

The back yard garden is a favorite place for us to gather. From the planted rows to bubbling water features to the shade provided by the evergreens, it invites all to enjoy. That includes our Gbaby girls.

While Kenslee blew her first bubbles, Peanut popped them just as quick, which, in turn caused raucous giggles, producing more bubbles! Happy Sunday all, no troubles here in Nerdin Gardens.

family matters loved ones: Extreme frequency. - 03/21/19 03:25 PM
Extreme frequency.

The past week has been quite the adventure with little Rugerman visiting our household. Vivid, imagination-fused stories at bedtime, lively inquisitiveness, his childish unbridled laughter, sea monster conversations, building projects with Popop, quick visit to Salty Fins a saltwater fish store, lizard chasing in the back yard garden, a trip to Judd's to pick out his favorite candy, crayon colorings, pencil drawings of make-believe creatures plus many trips to the fridge for treats especially for him. Repeat...

Tomorrow, I will take him home and we will return to a quieter atmosphere until little Kenslee Mae, Peanut and her mom and dad make their home here in May. Oh, my heart!

Things To Do in St. George, Utah: Dickens' Christmas Festival 2018

We took Sir Ruger to see Father Christmas and visit Olde London Towne at the annual Dicken' Christmas Festival to peruse the shoppes, experience holiday delights and see the sights! This event is a local favorite as thousands will attend, move along narrow village streets to purchase treasures while being thoroughly entertained.

Come ye one and all and bring ye family and friends for some olde-fashioned FUN from morning to late evening! From the delicious home-style candies, to breads to cakes, the gag gifts and the musical merriment that emanates throughout the vendor-filled streets, there is always something to enjoy!

family matters loved ones: Thankful for my smeller! - 11/20/18 08:49 AM
Thankful for my smeller!

Today I give thanks for having a nose!

Is Thanksgiving Day, for do you suppose

That Thanksgiving dinner would taste as good

If you couldn’t smell it? I don’t think it would.

Could apple pie baking—turkey that’s basting

Not be for the smelling? Just be for tasting?

It’s a cranberry-cinnamon-onion bouquet!

A Life Spent in Transit to a Place Called Home.

After some thinking, I decided to join in with those who have authored a Let's Get Personal! October contest post and shared it with everyone here. Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS 602-380-4886 inspired me write my own.

Born in Minnesota to family members who knew the value of getting up, getting dressed ready to put in a day's work. They owned a dairy farm so there were very few days of leisure if any, due to a demanding way of life. This is probably where my love for cows began.

Go on without me...

Many emotions come into play when receiving news. Our son, daughter-in-law and one-year old Gbaby Kenslee Mae will be making their home in Oahu, Hawaii. She is separating from the Navy after fulfilling a 5-year obligation.

I am more than thrilled that they are excitedly pursuing their dreams! And then the selfish part of me is like this cucumber, caught in the chicken wire. Still growing, maturing but stuck in a hard place, knowing they must go on.

While I remain here, without them near. *sigh*

A glance of clarity.

Time travels past the speed of busy days, restful moments and celebrated occasions. We are lucky to grab snippets of the present to reflect back upon. Whether it be business success, family and friendly gatherings, an amazing sunrise or sunset or a colorful rainbow, one thing is clear, they are all to be appreciated.

Happy Sibling Day!

Growing up in a large family had its advantages. There was always someone to play with and also to blame when things took a wrong turn. Seriously though, I wouldn't change a thing.

It is interesting to look into the same eyes or to see the same hands extended to yours or similar body shapes, quirks, mannerisms. One of the best things ever is lifelong companionship.

I love all seven brothers and sisters that were born into our family and cherish the time spent growing up, sharing memories. Now, it seems that the only direction to grow is out!

Local Leaping Lizards!

A day that ran into the 70's was perfect for some outdoor activities. In order to feed the imagination of our 3 year old Gbaby Ruger, we set out on an exciting adventure not soon to be forgotten!

The back yard garden is a haven for many creatures that inhabit through the growing season, though it remains dormant until we begin to cultivate the soil once again, readying it for seeds.

All of a sudden, a streak on four legs flits around the corner of an above ground garden bed, hiding in a mere crack between blocks. Left to right, then across the … (10 comments)

family matters loved ones: Avoid being SCROOGED this holiday season! - 12/15/17 06:30 PM
Avoid being SCROOGED this holiday season!

Certain times of the year can be tough on people who may be alone, have experienced traumatic events or are grieving the loss of loved ones. While some remain effervescent, others get immersed in sadness or anger at what they're dealt.

Everyone handles grief differently. It is important to speak about it, to feel it, keep to the routines, eat and get as much sleep as possible.

Family and friends may lend support, allow them to love and care, it's what they do! Hugs and kisses from those who hold significance can be very healing especially during holiday occasions.

Share those special times with no regrets and avoid being SCROOGED, ain't … (12 comments)

Discourse Over the Holidays.

While finishing up last minute paperwork for the business end of 2017, thoughts turn to Christmas dinner. Our children are living in other parts of the country, so it is just my husband and I this year.

Shall we have our traditional feast with ham, turkey, homemade dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, stuffed mushrooms, three bean casserole, cranberry sauce and yeast rolls?

A hand selected prime rib slowly cooked on the grill, bacon wrapped asparagus, fresh salad with garlic dressing and artisan bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar?

What if 3 Wise Women Showed Up instead of 3 Wise Men?

At times, the imagination takes over and it wanders to places that are surprising and comical, even to me! Imagine my delight when I found this yard art pattern at the store. Of course it was purchased, traced, cut out, painted and placed in the yard immediately.  This is an oldy but goody and often brings a smile about the face when people read the message, enjoy!

Faith is knowing the storm will pass.

When life events become challenging, the inner cheerleader encourages a look toward the skies for inspiration. Head up, mind up, helps alleviate some of the lows that come from disappointments, struggles, adversity.

Adapting to situations as they present creates a more determined direction. Holding tight until everything rights itself, once again, as the dark storm passes, allowing in the light. Now, that's faith, in knowing!

Little Things Often Mean The Most!

A very important, upcoming family event took me away from work for 3 weeks, sending me to Washington State. Before leaving, I consulted with a few trusted Realtor's in my brokerage, PK Real Estate Utah South.

My business was in great hands as 3 transactions closed and even got a listing up and running and under contract in just a few hours of listing it on the MLS. No professional photos needed on this one!
