Remembering Pearl Harbor: Real Heroes Wear Dog Tags!

We visited the Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona memorial while staying with our children in Hawaii. Upon entering the room, the solemn respect for those lives lost was evident.
As the video began to play, recounting the cowardous tragedy, silent tears rolled down my face and I prayed for every person who perished on that horrific day in American history.
Please give thanks to our military personnel who step up every day, despite any and all conditions, here at home and across the world to protect our best interests, keeping us safe from harm.
God bless them … (12 comments)

god bless america wanda kubat nerdin: Sunrise, surprise! - 09/26/17 06:24 PM
Sunrise, surprise!

As daylight began cresting over Pine Mountain Range, a bevvy of riotous colors raced across the vast skyline. I just knew this southern Utah sunrise was going to be exceptionally special!

The United States flag was furling, unfurling as a swift breeze continued in a north to south direction, lifting, falling then stretching to full mast in continuous motion. What a spectacular delight!

Nature has my praiseful admiration. Happy Wednesday all and God Bless America!

God Bless America...

"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea, Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free, Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "

God Bless America. Land that I love. Stand beside her, and guide her through the night with a light from above. From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans, white with foam God bless America, My home sweet home.

Let's face it, they have the ability to make you S-M-I-L-E. Mom always told me not to play with food but I just can't resist creating a delicious piece of art when I'm a pickin' and a grinnin'!

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Where the red & white meets the blue skies.

The southern Utah 10-day forecast calls for sunshine, clear skies with just a hint of cloud cover on 2 of those days. Just what the flowers need to bless us with their beauty. Even Mother Nature has patriotic tendencies...where the red & white meets the blue!
Happy Wednesday!

god bless america wanda kubat nerdin: Speechless Sunday (almost!): Let our choices as Americans lift us up. - 09/11/11 04:41 AM
Speechless Sunday (almost!): Let our choices as Americans lift us up.

As Americans we possess the freedom to make our own choices every day:
About how we live Where we decide to work How we spend our money Religion or no religion Products that we purchase Schools our children attend City or country lifestyle Contribution to causes
Terrorists took the lives of nearly 3,000 men, women and children in the September 11, 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. They had no opportunity to make any choices, their lives cut short due to hatred … (26 comments)
