Lies Can Slap You Silly!

A broker buys a lie detector robot as an office training tool to ensure the agents are doing their work to become successful.

The robot slaps people who are untruthful. He asks a new agent, “Have you been cold calling potential buyers and sellers?”

“Yes”, she replies. The robot slaps the agent, who then admits to being at the driving range all day, improving her golf game.

He decides to take it home to try it out on the family for the weekend.

At the dinner table, he introduces the robot to his 16-year old son and wife, then asks Johnny … (20 comments)

honesty is the best policy: Factose Intolerance has no business in real estate. - 01/22/20 03:09 PM
Factose Intolerance has no business in real estate.

Seems the direct approach of relaying information has become unacceptable by those who lack the confidence to share fact-based news, especially bad news. Some will go to great lengths to skirt the issue, taking an indirect approach, talking a lot about nothing to avoid discussing subjects that may cause them discomfort.

Instead, they opt for:
sugar coating beating around the bush taking an extended circuitous route
When did society become so sensitive? Straight-on exchanging of information between parties has been replaced, in part, with texting, e-mailing, voice messaging to avoid face-to-face scenarios. honesty is the best policy: Didn't want to put a ring on it! - 12/16/19 08:18 AM
Didn't want to put a ring on it!

A buyer couple was looking to purchase a second home in the southern Utah area, I was excited to help. The wife was the point of contact due to her husband's hectic schedule. After discussing wants and needs, we all agreed to view some homes that fit their criteria the following weekend.

We walked through several properties, finding one that grabbed their attention and emotions. Upon asking them to sign a Buyer Broker Agreement, he refused, saying they wanted to keep their options open. In Utah, an offer is only submitted after establishing representation.

The offer was finally sent to them outlining terms and conditions. Instead … (34 comments)

Day 9 of 10 Thanksgiving Challenge | Honesty

There are many aspects about HONESTY that ring true and relate to every day living. The success of every relationship depends on integrity. When shopping for a new dress with a friend, I'd want that person to relay candidly whether it looked good or not.

HONESTY can be tough to take at times, even jarring. I'd rather hear the truth than be in denial, especially when facing challenging situations. Truth in business between parties is expected. Some people fall short, while others remain genuine when following through.

Much of what is passing as news today is not truth. We are living in the National Enquirer era of news reporting. As consumers, we … (1 comments)
