love and family matters: I Pressed On! - 12/23/22 09:10 AM
I Pressed On!

When figuring a way to send out a Thinking of You message to someone who may be in the throes of depression or feeling alone, take a photo of something beautiful, then text it or email it to them.

Flowers, a quick sunrise or sunset, a funny cartoon gif or a sweet message of love and friendship will do. In today's digital world it only costs a few moments time and the results are ahhhh-mazing!

When moving the letters of ‘depression’ around, the phrase ' I Pressed On' emerges and that is what I prefer to do.

No depression here, only cheer!

love and family matters: If it Looks Like a Duck, it Might Be Two Too - 05/03/21 07:13 AM
If it Looks Like a Duck, it Might Be Two Too     To the casual observer, this just looks like one duck but look closer, there is more that meets the eye. This male duck stands guard while the female searches around for food.     He looks left, then right as she diligently forages. She is his life mate and he will warn her or fight off any other animal that attempts to do harm. Be more like this duck.     Protect with loving care, what is most valuable to you in life because in an instant it … (20 comments)

A New View: 2020 in Hindsight

Many of us have been adversely affected by events outside the scope of control this year, whether it's the death of loved ones, divorce, compromised health or loss of business.

How you dealt with that, determines your future.

Trauma can cause complacency, depression, misplaced anger, feelings of despair or even paralysis. Friends and family are ever so important to lean on during these times.

Turn to their kindness for help. They are available because they wish to be and can encourage healing. I was brought to my knees more than once, in despair, due to loss.

On the upside. You … (8 comments)

love and family matters: 2020 Won. - 12/29/20 10:23 AM
2020 Won.

Oh no, it didn't!

2020 was not my worse year by far and life is truly what you make it! The new year promises to be filled with many wonderful blessings, continued business success and future family memories in the works.

You will find me focusing on the positive aspects of life, that is where I reside. There is zero room or time for self-defeating mind games when people depend on me, personally and professionally.

The end of 2020 will go out on a high note by listening to one of our favorite local bands in an outdoor setting, while dancing until the … (10 comments)

love and family matters: Not STRESSED...BLESSED! - 02/21/19 11:43 AM
Not STRESSED...BLESSED! Getting caught up in the holiday rush is not uncommon this time of year for so many who will invite family and friends over to share a meal. Planning a menu, calling everyone, shopping for all the food on the list, then preparation, cooking, baking and setting a decorative, festive table takes time.5 Ways to enjoy the process: 1. Make and stick to a budget2. Say No to outside activities 3. Turn on some upbeat music4. Ask for some help when needed5. Be very realistic in your endeavors Instead of getting flustered and out of sorts from all the work, also think … (23 comments)
