Preparing for a Deluge
 
Always check the weather before going on vacation near a river or stream or a hike through a slot canyon, to camp, or fish.  Turn on your local weather channel or check on phone to avoid heading into a storm.
 
Severe conditions are better weathered through on higher ground, in a safe, controlled environment where there is constant communication with regular updates. I cannot emphasize this enough! 
 
Thunderstorms with heavy rain can cause severe flooding in canyons. These storms can be powerful and sudden. Water can rise quickly downstream from heavy rain, even when the parent thunderstorm is miles away!

Thunder-clashing, mesmerizing cloud formations roil in, dropping a generous amount of rain. Spectacular light shows result as the storms quickly skitter in, then out.
 
Monsoon season usually makes an appearance this time of year but is a no-show so far in the southern Utah area. This high desert could definitely use nature's own watering system!
 
Be proactive: To avoid a potential disaster, consult the weather channel to ensure you are not heading into a storm prior to venturing out to hike, camp, or fish on a boat.

I've got rainbows in my clouds.
 
 
Despite the havoc caused by the electrical storm as it slowly passes through the southern Utah valley, leaving darkness in it's wake, one thing is certain; I've got rainbows in my clouds.
 
Over 1,600 households are without power due to an interruption in the lines and can only be waited out until it is restored. Sometimes you must seek the light in unsettling times.
 
This morning, I will be meeting with potential buyers who may decide to build a new home if all the requirements are met on their Wish List. Glad to be right here, right now!

Raindrops are falling on my head...Oh, hail! 😵
 
As the sun relented, the skies instantly darkening, deafening thunder booming!, lightning flashing, clouds furiously clashing, dumping more than our share of rain once again.
 
Before dissipating, the heavens above decided to add just a touch of mayhem in the form of frozen balls, millions of them, hurled at supersonic speed towards earth!
 
 
Can I get a hail-yeah? Ouch!
