Vibrant Reds and Evergreens in Nerdin Gardens
Once again as we head towards winter, our roses are ecstatic with the cooling temperatures. The evergreens are sporting new growth as we near their favorite season, the color combination reminiscent of the holiday spirit.
Next week, we will be travelling to see our new Gbaby girl and her parents for Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for what is before, for what has passed, it has led me to remain ever present and hopeful for the future.

Nerdin Gardens: Lemon Cucumber Salad
Cooler temperatures have brought new life to our backyard garden, producing more tomatoes and cucumbers than ever before. We are blessed to have fresh fruits and vegetables on our table daily.
What do you do with an overabundance of Lemon Cucumbers and Cherry Tomatoes and Sweet Peppers from Nerdin Gardens? You make salad of course! This was awe-mazing!
Fresh Lemon Cucumber Salad

I want to continue to grow spiritually as I age. To inspire others to do better and be better with sincere thoughts and ideas expressed while maintaining compassion for those less fortunate.

Some have asked about our methods and we respond in kind: Maintaining a successful garden takes patience, consistency and sincere effort, much like running a thriving business.

Come on in...we've been expecting you!
Tomatoes are hanging, pea vines climbing, peppers popping, flowers blooming with vibrant colors. Bees are buzzing, butterflies flittering, mantis' are preying within the perimeter of Nerdin Gardens.
The surrounding area is also teeming with diverse plant life that acts as a safe haven for many of nature's inhabitants. All are welcome here as long as the intentions are sincere. Happy gardening all!

Nerdin Gardens 2017: The Joys of Gardening
Our back yard garden has always been a yearly labor of love for us. Much time and effort lends toward preparing the soil, sowing seeds, nurturing the plant material. Being responsible gardeners is also high on the list.
We prefer pulling the weeds manually as an all-natural method. Adding flowers, praying mantis' and ladybugs work as pest control. Preventative maintenance allows optimum results when harvesting.
We love the sounds that come from a healthy space and avoid harsh chemicals that can kill the wildlife around us, not to mention the soil. Our garden depends on nature's way to thrive or it will die.

In the words of Roger Mucci, " I got nothing."
After taking several updated photos of Nerdin Gardens yesterday, I was excited to upload them at 6:30 am this morning and share them with all of you. It was not meant to be. After several attempts, I cleared all cookies, deleting all stored website data from other sites.
Still no luck.
Then cleared the entire history of the computer, thinking this would fix it and restarted. No go! I decided to shower, get dressed and go to my office and finish the post. As I sit here in the business office, I am still prevented … (13 comments)

Nerdin Gardens 2017: Stop in and sit a spell.
Each year, we get excited, anticipating another successful growing season in our back yard home garden. My husband has a way of taking spaces and turning them into something special, as you can see here.
Many years ago, I purchased the wooden outdoor furniture and loved the way it looked in it's natural state. Michael found an outdoor rug, some colorful cushions and turned it into a WOW! setting!

As the fruits and vegetables in Nerdin Gardens begin to thrive, the feeling of accomplishment is evident when walking through row upon row of plantings. Soon, we will begin to harvest some of nature's amazing gifts.

A blooming guide to a bountiful harvest.
As pre-Spring temperatures rise, so does the desire to get out and begin preparing the garden for another growing season. Much of what we do is reflex-like, though there is more to learn, things to improve upon.
The following can help to create a successful home garden:
Preparing the soil. This includes cultivating, tilling and careful planting Consistent tending. Nurturing the plants, weeding and feeding them Constant care. Maintaining all systems will produce excellent results Self-motivation. Getting up, willing to work and showing up matters Paying attention. Growing a garden takes thoughtful detail daily
