nerdin gardens 2018: The Promise of Rose Gardens and Fruituitous Living! - 11/16/18 08:33 AM
The Promise of Rose Gardens and Fruituitous Living!

Being THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for the food we eat during the growing season comes from an organic back yard garden in southern Utah. It reminds me of this little prayer often recited as a child. God is great, God is Good, Let Us Thank Him for this Food!

Growing fruits and vegetables is favorite past time for us. From the first hint of Spring, we prepare the soil to receive careful plantings and with nature's cooperation, some maintenance on our part, we harvest an abundant crop every growing season.

Each year, we both get excited, in anticipation of another growing season. My husband is the green thumb and possesses the ability to grow plants successfully and create relaxing spaces for … (3 comments)

nerdin gardens 2018: Thankful to be a southern Utah Top Producer! - 11/03/18 01:21 PM
Thankful to be a southern Utah Top Producer!

As each growing season comes and goes in Nerdin Gardens, a few things remain true about the sincere work ethic. To do better and be better is at the forefront while implementing efficient networks that ensure our success along with:

Preparation: Amending and tilling the soil prior to planting and installing effective, reliable systems that encourage consistent growth.
Fertilizing: Intentional follow through in knowing exactly when to provide a boost in place of nutrients found naturally in the soil.
Weeding: Pulling counterproductive material from garden beds to allow the fruits and vegetables necessary room to flourish to fruition.
Sounds a lot like my real estate business. While many tried and true processes continue to get the job done, … (12 comments)

nerdin gardens 2018: Bee Your Very Best Self. - 10/19/18 03:23 PM
Bee Your Very Best Self.

While the Hollyhocks were gently swaying in a slight breeze this morning, they captured more than just my attention. A honey bee was collecting pollen to take back to the hive for future use.

The worker bee’s ethic is most purposeful and pure with zero ulterior motives. No distractions to deter from the intended job, only a strong drive to meet or exceed expected daily goals set forth.

Be more like the bee, and:
Uphold obligations. Show self-motivation. Respect other's practices. Maintain cooperation at all times. Ensure good communication among peers.
Push yourself to a higher degree like the bee … (24 comments)

Whooping it up with Larry, Moe and CURLY!

Maintaining a sense of humor in the real estate industry is a must. When things go sideways, rather than allowing the attitude to take a southern turn too, think of ways to continue moving forward.

While we all experience disappointment, we can choose to find a positive means to rev up and gain momentum. I seek out healthy ways to deal with the down side of life with a laugh or two...or three.

Besides, I can always eat my way through it too. Larry, Moe and Curly just may be dinner tonight. Happy day all, whoop, whoop!

A Natural Southern Utah Beauty in Nerdin Gardens.

Ahhh-mazing and unpretentious in every way. Southern Utah is still sporting pops of bright colors with the arrival of cooler temperatures and soon-to-be fall season. We are busy but never too rushed to stop and appreciate nature's beauty.

Though business may be at a fast and furious pace a times, be mindful to listen to your body and take the stress level down a notch. Here are some things you can do:
Remember to laugh Take a brisk walk outside Meditate to ease anxiety Reach out to a colleague or friend Keep a diary or professional journal

Due to the singular style of writing, diverse subject matter and spirited opinions of members here in the Rain, clicking the LIKE button on a post gives notice that someone truly appreciated the author's effort.

Though at times, I wish there was a LOVE button because of the the nature of the message!

* Photo is of a Lemon Cucumber bloom in Nerdin Gardens with tendrils reaching out to support it's mission towards fruition. It reminds me of business standards. We must also stretch ourselves to achieve set goals.

Nerdin Gardens Humor: A turnip ahead.

The Gourd-en Jester showed up today at Nerdin Gardens and we all had a nice thyme. The cucumber said, “I’m kind of a big dill.”

A plumber arrived because I found a leek, he didn’t carrot all and left because he had to pea. No one got steamed.

Rosemary creeped in and the grapes hung out singing Morning Glory. Arti-choked on a joke and herb wet his plants!

I said lettuce turnip up the beet, as I danced on my to-ma-toes. I’ve never bean around such funji dirt worshippers.

Can I get a kale yeah?!

nerdin gardens 2018: Go on without me... - 09/01/18 08:36 AM
Go on without me...

Many emotions come into play when receiving news. Our son, daughter-in-law and one-year old Gbaby Kenslee Mae will be making their home in Oahu, Hawaii. She is separating from the Navy after fulfilling a 5-year obligation.

I am more than thrilled that they are excitedly pursuing their dreams! And then the selfish part of me is like this cucumber, caught in the chicken wire. Still growing, maturing but stuck in a hard place, knowing they must go on.

While I remain here, without them near. *sigh*

nerdin gardens 2018: You Must Do-The-Work! - 08/31/18 06:34 AM
You Must Do-The-Work!

Planting fruits and vegetables yearly, knowing what to plant, where to locate and when to take advantage of weather patterns to ensure proper development is at the heart of the growing season.

There is nothing easy about maintaining a home garden, you must:

Get down on the knees almost daily to pull invasive weeds that creep in and rid other pests so that intended plant material will thrive.
Fertilize to encourage lush foliage that acts as cover for the tender blooms and shoots that will eventually mature into food on our table.
Work alongside nature's amazing creatures such as bumble and honey bees, ladybugs, butterflies, praying mantis, garden … (28 comments)

Ensuring sentient fruition...

Create trusting partnerships with affiliates. Choose those who reach out consistently in good communication to ensure successful end results rather than leaving you hanging. In return, everyone gains professional service with a sincere commitment.

While walking through Nerdin Gardens, I noticed how the grape vines extend outward, grabbing one another to reinforce the weight of bearing fruit. The tendril curls allow branches to adjust the tension or to pull up on the support in place.

Nature knows by instinct how to implement and guarantee fruition. If we pay close attention to the simplest of standards, there is much we can learn and inact into our own businesses.

Early morning in Nerdin Gardens...

In the early morning hours, a woman was discovered bent over a raised bed in Nerdin Gardens. At first, I thought to get her attention but then saw that she was harvesting fruits and vegetables in the home garden.

And then soon realized, it was just me! HA-HA!

Sunny D!

Through cloudy skies and rainy days, the sunflower maintains its sunny disposition. A people pleaser at every turn, casting light in the darkest of circumstances, turning the lips upward.

Nature's Lesson: Exuding a positive attitude while guiding clients to one of the biggest lifetime decisions they will make is a crucial aspect. Be the one they turn to instead of away from.

nerdin gardens 2018: En Garde'n Nerdin Gardens! - 08/02/18 08:15 AM
En Garde'n Nerdin Gardens!

Preventative maintenance allows an all natural approach for pest control, creating optimum results when harvesting. The Praying Mantis takes advantage of every opportunity to obtain a successful end result.

This Mantis has landed on a vivid yellow Hibiscus, maintaining an upside, inside, downside, onside or outside stance, always on-the-ready for action! Though small, he is already taking on all-comers.

The En Garde while on guard approach truly works in Nerdin Gardens!

Nature knows: Learning to take advantage of every opportunity that presents in business can yield positive outcomes. Staying on top requires much diligence, patience plus strategic, successful methods!

Nerdin Gardens in Southern Utah: Morning Harvest. Daily Thanks.

Walking the home garden shortly after the sun rises, searching for ripe pickings and potential pests has become a daily ritual. Though we have been challenged this year by multiple outside influences, gratefulness remains.

A true gardener gives thanks every day for the gifts that nature provides, no matter the size of the bounty. The best to you all from Nerdin Gardens and southern Utah, I'm a pickin' and a grinin'!

A Public Display of Affection!

Home gardeners can attest to the true commitment it takes to maintain a flourishing garden. Most often, showing it off with a public display of affection for all to see is a perk that comes from outstanding results.

There’s something endearing and honest about the need for connection with other gardener's or to those who hold a sincere appreciation. We keep it simple here as the sun kisses the garden with true intentions!

Good morning from Nerdin Gardens, it is looking promising from here.

nerdin gardens 2018: Sometimes they hide in plain sight. - 07/28/18 12:41 PM
Sometimes they hide in plain sight.

Many of nature's creatures have built-in camouflage capabilities that mimic their surroundings, keeping them safe from predators. On the flip side, they can also have devastating effects if left undetected in a home garden.

As we both walked through Nerdin Gardens after a few days of seasonal monsoon-like weather, some of the tomato plants leaves and flowers were sheared completely off, leaving sword-like branches reaching toward the sky.

Upon closer inspection, at least two dozen Tomato Hookworm Caterpillar's had invaded. My husband and I both agreed that we must be more diligent at this point to ensure our fruits and vegetables … (21 comments)

Southern Utah Inspiration: Nature's Hand-y Candy in Nerdin Gardens!

Often a tug here, snip there results in a handful of goodness when walking through our home garden. A quick rub to create a shine, wiping away any surface dirt, then popped right into the mouth, yu-um!

Happy day all from Nerdin Gardens!

Nerdin Gardens: Teeming with Diversity

Come on in...we've been expecting you!

Tomatoes are hanging, pea vines climbing, peppers popping, flowers blooming with vibrant colors. Bees are buzzing, butterflies flittering, mantis' are preying within the perimeter of Nerdin Gardens.

The surrounding area is also teeming with diverse plant life that acts as a safe haven for many of nature's inhabitants. All are welcome here as long as the intentions are sincere.

nerdin gardens 2018: The Blushing Princess: A Nerdin Gardens Tale. - 07/15/18 11:49 AM
The Blushing Princess: A Nerdin Gardens Tale.

A fair female was born into a small village. The first in many decades, as males maintained the birth rate. Her beautiful face blushed pink, her aura, a much deeper hue.
All agreed to safeguard her at all costs to ensure future growth. Three gallant sentries were chosen to stand guard over this beauty through any and all inclement weather.
Neither rain, hail or extreme winds would pose a danger to the little one. She soon blossomed into full living color, a stunning specimen, thanks to her dutiful protectors.
The End.

nerdin gardens 2018: Almost too big for his bloomers! - 07/02/18 06:15 AM
Almost too big for his bloomers!

Taking a stroll through Nerdin Gardens inspires stories and reminds me of days past. My mother was always handing out sage advice, telling us when we were feeling overly confident (or cocky), not to get too big for our britches.

When I saw this bumbler vying for position, turning, twisting, repeating the movements to collect pollen, I immediately thought he was too big for his bloomers. Though cocky he may not be, only business as usual, fulfilling the set goals!

Happy Monday all, what are your plans for the day?
