positive thoughts: A time for reflection. - 01/28/17 09:17 AM
A time for reflection.

After an exceptional day at work, discussing client wants and needs, showing & setting the appointments for another home search, it is time to relax. The full-on sun is aloft in the southern Utah azure sky, no clouds in sight.

No question that this is pure reflection at its best.

positive thoughts: What are YOU grateful for? - 09/13/14 12:58 AM
What are YOU grateful for?
I accepted a 5-Day Gratitude Challenge from Roger Mucci on Facebook to write for about the things in life that I was thankful for. The following are the results of Day 1 thru Day 5.

Day One of Five.....at the end of Day One.
1. Grateful to be able to continually grow spiritually as I age, to inspire others to do better, be better and to have compassion for those less fortunate.

2. Feel lucky to live in the U.S.A. where my thoughts and ideas can be expressed without worry of physical harm from those who … (10 comments)

positive thoughts: The Sky is FALLING!!! The Sky is... - 02/18/14 12:11 AM
The Sky is FALLING!!! The Sky is...

As we descended into town the morning of school, I soon realized the roiling clouds were covering the mountains and landscape around us and a thick fog had set in. From the back seat, my 8-year old son became very upset, saying "The sky is falling" .. It was a slight declaration that soon turned into loud, panicky snippets of..."THE SKY IS FALLING!" "THE SKY IS FALLING!"
I explained that it was just cloud cover due to abrupt temperature changes, that it would clear off as we got closer to town, trying my best to comfort him. … (11 comments)

positive thoughts: With a smile and tug on the heart! A special Valentine's Day story. - 02/13/14 10:00 PM

With a smile and tug on the heart! A special Valentine's Day story.

Pulling into the drive after another long day of work, I was greeted at the front door by a handsome little 4 year-old waiter in a bow tie, blonde hair slicked back with a white tee-towel draped over his arm, "Good evening madam!" he says.

He took my arm, leading me down the rose petal littered hallway to the dining table aglow with candlelight, the table set with grandmother's fine china, romantic piano music playing in the background.

The 6 year-old head waiter took my … (13 comments)

positive thoughts: Appreciate what is before you... - 01/18/14 06:47 AM
Appreciate what is before you...
Blesssings come in all sizes, colors, shapes, weights, forms. Be willing to open your heart, eyes and mind to fully appreciate the many changes and directions life will go with a new baby on the way.
Will he call me Grandma, Granny, Gma, Mima, Maw-maw? Not sure but I couldn't feel any more blessed than I do at this very moment.
Happy Saturday all, it is looking very promising from here!

positive thoughts: Happy New Year 2014! - 12/30/13 06:55 AM
Happy New Year 2014!

Count your many blessings as this year passes into anew. Whether they be your family or friends, a beloved pet(s) or good health, business success, any or all of the above. I wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2014.
It's going to be a year of change as we plan for a new addition to the family. Not sure if I want to be called nana, gma, mima or granny. It doesn't matter to me as long as I get some sweet kisses and plenty of loves!
We are indeed blessed!

positive thoughts: Comfort and peace to all this holiday season. - 12/12/13 07:17 AM
Comfort and peace to all this holiday season.

A potential client replied back to an email I sent today. He just received the news that his son has cancer. He and his wife will hold off on their homebuying efforts for now while they look for care options for him.
Wishing there was something to be done, I offered a prayer of comfort and peace for his son and the family as they journey through this challenging time in their lives. A favorable outcome is the goal at hand.
Life is precious and circumstances change ever so quickly from one day … (10 comments)

positive thoughts: You constantly struggle for self improvement - and it shows. - 10/09/13 12:37 AM
You constantly struggle for self improvement - and it shows.

Yikes! Struggling? Really, is that what people really see? Isn't it interesting how one word can change an entire meaning. Now take out the word 'struggle' and replace it with 'strive'.
You constantly strive for self improvement - and it shows. Now that is much better!
See how it now positively drives the message? No one wishes to see another 'struggle' to improve nor for themselves. They want to see others and themselves 'striving' toward the goals set forth.
Ahhh! The positive side of things is where I strive to be. No … (19 comments)

positive thoughts: S.T.O.P. and Think before jumping to conclusions! - 03/22/13 11:38 PM
S.T.O.P. and Think before jumping to conclusions!

Failed negotiations, underwriting delays, unacceptable inspection results create emotions that can run amok in our industry due to the nature of the buying and selling process. Potential buyers are making one of the biggest decisions they will ever make in their lifetimes. Sellers are sometimes wary regarding listing issues and getting the best price for their home. Or things can just go wrong and often do!

How you handle difficult situations as they arise determines your future success. So, before you blow up, burn bridges or sever a good relationship...S-T-O-P!
Step back! Think it over Organize all thoughts Put … (26 comments)

positive thoughts: Create a Life Plan and Be Happy! - 01/17/13 10:32 PM
Create a Life Plan and Be Happy!

Stay positive. Be happy and appreciate what is in the here and now and plan for future happiness. You CAN do this!

Be thankful. Look around you in order to see the many blessings you have, however small.

Open your mind. Try something new, go ahead! Push yourself beyond the comfort zone with a new adventure!

Keep reaching. Setbacks may happen but they do not have to rule your life. Dream big and continue trying!

Change directions. If it isn’t working, start anew, create a life plan specifically designed with your wants and needs and go for it! You'll get there.
Happy … (12 comments)

positive thoughts: Finding reasons to S-M-I-L-E during stressful times. - 01/07/13 12:11 AM

Finding reasons to S-M-I-L-E during stressful times.
Life can be daunting and challenging as unfortunate events take place without warning, often rendering us speechless while stealing the joy that naturally resides. Even the most positive people can be tested during times of extreme stress and duress.
Despite what consequences that come our way, the ability to overcome seems to be a human built-in instinct. Finding ways to S-M-I-L-E again are an individual thing and only we know what drives the lips to turn upward.
You can:
Get out in the fresh air Call a friend for a lunch date Write your thoughts in a journal … (8 comments)

Motivational Monday: Steer clear or the smell will get ya!

Some people invest in the rumor mill and can't wait to find their next unsuspecting audience. Hearsay and gossip can hurt people and create an energy sucking, negative environment.

As real estate agents, we must be respectful of peers, fellow agents and clients. It's most important to:
Maintain professionalism in the workplace Refrain from delivering erroneous information Allow the Code of Ethics be your guide every day Surround yourself with positive, motivated people Avoid negative discussions that put others in a bad light
Those who give in to the practice of passing on information … (15 comments)

positive thoughts: Motivational Monday: Is your best good enough? - 07/01/12 10:29 PM

Motivational Monday: Is your best good enough? While it is impossible to be all things to all people, you can find out who you are and allow that be your guide. It is imperative to discover your strengths and use them to:
Set priorities Make decisions Have better relationships Accept your own uniqueness Achieve personal and professional success Let go of comparing yourself to others and to the things that have limited you in the past. Realize that you can’t do it all but you can do your best. And that is good enough.
It really is!
