Being stretched allows growth and opens ones eyes to many more of life's possibilities. A friend of mine took a trip to London by himself, though he had always traveled abroad with a companion.
For him, the journey was a course of self realization. One that included the courage to experience this adventure singularly and to awaken something within that will spurn him forward toward greater things.

This post, written back in 2011 still speaks to me as strongly as when I wrote it, though it's been 4 years. I can only be responsible for my own ideals and standards and cannot set expectations for others but strive to encourage and inspire those around me because some days I need it as much as they do.
A ripple effect.
Most happy people possess an inner drive that starts deep within and works its way outward every day from the moment they wake till they fall into bed at night.
First, Get 'em! Realize what you wish to accomplish whether it is in sales volume, area of professional growth or gaining information through education.
Second, Set 'em! Write it out. Be very specific and create daily, weekly or monthly expectations and be accountable. Gauge your success.
Third, Let 'em! By following the first two steps, you have now put into motion the guidelines that will rule the year ahead. Be consistent, show up.

At times, it becomes difficult to hold onto a positive mindset due to: everyday occurrences outside influences or when things take an unexpected turn Whenever you can, reach out to others to help when you see the need. You never know how it may inspire or where it may lead! Give of your time, grow your sphere of influence and lift another's state of mind, you'll be glad you did, so will the recipient!
