A Tree with Strong Roots Laughs at Storms

Integrity-driven actions keep people in business, providing long-term career benefits when providing exceptional service to potential buyers and sellers. That’s how agents become and remain successful.

A real estate agent's fiduciary responsibilities:
Loyalty. Putting the client's wants and needs above your own. Obedience. Lawfully following and accommodating client requests Confidentiality. Details shared by clients remain inside information Disclosure. Relaying beneficial details in negotiations and all defects Accounting. Depositing EM Check immediately into a trust account Reasonable Care. Maintaining professionalism, using local knowledge
Following these duties can strengthen working relationships between parties, though ultimately it is … (10 comments)

responsibility and accountability: There is magic in honesty. - 08/15/22 09:06 AM
There is magic in honesty.

Responsibility and accountability are taught at a very young age. Align with those who uphold a higher standard. Besides, a client who trusts you today, will refer family members and friends well into the future.
At times, during a transaction, obstacles present or mistakes happen. Here are some ways to work through adversity:
If you're wrong, make it right Correct an error immediately Apologize to everyone involved Be determined to find a viable solution When at fault, own it, no pointing fingers
We are all human and because of that factor, are fallible. Taking responsibility … (8 comments)

Achieving Home Ownership Can Be More Difficult For...

Some people wish to blame a lack of commitment or accountability in building their own wealth on anything/everything. "Responsibility finds a way. Irresponsibility makes excuses!" ~ Gene Bedley

Why some consumers fail to purchase real estate:
Irresponsible spenders, compulsive shoppers and must haver's. They apply for credit cards, max them out, then call family members or friends to bail them out to pay their car payment or lease amount.
Those who have poor credit ratings are chronically late when paying their bill's. They let them go a week or two then split them up, paying half now and … (20 comments)

responsibility and accountability: Pointing fingers in thin air. - 09/10/18 06:17 AM
Pointing fingers in thin air.

Playing the Blame Game takes the personal and professional responsibility away from outcomes. Being overly self-absorbed can often be defeating and disappointing and may also cause a complacent or negative attitude.

Are you a firm believer that setting goals and continuing good work habits allows them to be achieved? Putting it to writing sets the pace for fruition, so does the responsibility of getting up, dressing up and showing up for clients.

I am, because of the level of commitment made to succeed. Will I fail? There is always the possibility but will not be pointing fingers outward, instead, there may be need to … (12 comments)

responsibility and accountability: Never assume when it adversely affects a client! - 08/03/16 02:01 AM
Never assume when it adversely affects a client!

Check, then re-check paperwork again to ensure all documents have been signed, dated and acknowledged in an ongoing transaction. Here is a scenario to avoid at all costs:

The mortgage office sent out documents to be reviewed, signed off and returned. The buyers did just that or so they thought. Apparently one electronic signature was missing. By the time it was caught, the three day wait period had to be re-established, again, further frustrating the buyers.

They would not be closing on time, again. The buyers had specifically taken off to sign all closing documents and now they had to adjust … (15 comments)

Risk vs Reward: An all for one and one for all scenario!

Want consumer's to think you're a top agent in your selling area?

Create a team, then add your name to all the listings that the team produces and to all buyer documents. When the transactions close and record, your name will show up as a part of the process, every time!

The downside to this can show itself as well. If your name is on a transaction and it goes south due to the team member's fault, you may be liable and must take responsibility for the outcome as well.

You may have to stand before a … (4 comments)

responsibility and accountability: GOOD reasons to spellcheck -and- proofread! - 04/25/16 04:59 AM
GOOD reasons to spellcheck -and- proofread!

Before sending out a reply recently on a post about champagne, I remarked Salut! At second glance, it was missing the 'a' and I quickly added it before sending it off. Can you imagine what the receiver would have thought had I not caught that?!

Yikes!

Social media is a fantastic platform to quickly get a message relayed, to continue a conversation or spark a response. Ensure the comment you wish to send is intended, rather than something that can create a questionable atmosphere of distrust or outright shock.

Salut all!
