2017 marks the 35th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and once again, the traveling exhibit allows a visit to my cousin Randolph Edwin Graves as it makes its way close to where I live in southern Utah. I know his location by heart due to several meetings and encourage everyone to stop in, spend a little time viewing the wall, talk to the volunteers and Vets.

Last night, after much anticipation, my husband and I arrived at the Burns Arena at Dixie State University campus in St. George, Utah to experience the angelic voices of Celtic Woman. The fiddle player was entrancing as she glided across the stage plucking the strings in a lively dance.
Celtic Woman is celebrating 12 years of success, with over 10 million albums and 3 million tickets sold worldwide. Though the temperatures may climb in the summer months, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy! The Veyo Pool is 17 miles to the north from St. George at a steady climb and is a hidden gem surrounding by volcanic rock bluffs. Offering swimming, rock climbing, crawdadding and hiking, plus a full menu serving burgers, fries and more. There is nothing near that quite compares!

In southern Utah, many families plan a Trunk or Treat for smaller children, a safer alternative to going house to house. Parent's decorate their car trunks and children in their costumes are able to pick out their goodies, win prizes and celebrate Halloween in a controlled environment.
Better than smelling someone's feet any day!

Solar Eclipse: Whimsical shadows playing against the house!
My husband and I took turns looking thru the 'special' glasses at the Solar Eclipse that took place today from 5:30 to 7:30 pm today in southern Utah. While many folks jumped into their cars and drove to Kanarraville, Utah to see the first eclipse of this sort in 18 years. We knew the view was unobstructed and just a walk outside our door.
