stormy weather ahead: Awakening a Resilient Mindset - 09/23/23 09:14 AM
Awakening a Resilient Mindset Azure skies abound. Clouds amass. Sun rays defend sudden, unforeseen turbulence. An all-encompassing storm swiftly takes a hard hold without invite, grasping, slashing, leaving in its wake, confusion, mayhem. Experiencing disappointment often presents an opportunity to grow, through adversarial situations, awakening a resilient mindset. Sincere intentions still reside in the outcome, fully aware that the future may hold promise. The nature of the real estate industry can be chaotic at best, emotions getting in the way of buyers and sellers when the desired result becomes unattainable. Time is necessary in creating a new path, for a new plan. Gaze upon the horizon. Here comes … (35 comments)

stormy weather ahead: Changing Whether Conditions - 02/20/22 08:57 AM
Changing Whether Conditions

Following the 4-corners of the Real Estate Purchase Contract is the expectation for all to close the transaction. Some will, however, attempt to change some of the agreed upon terms after acceptance.

Here are few examples of what can happen...
Scenario No. 1:
Home buyer submits a cash offer with no contingencies, a few days later, decides to switch to financing. Buyer agent sends an addendum, seller refuses to sign document because he feels duped.

The contract at this point could be voidable due to misrepresentation if the intent was to get a loan all along and the buyer sweetened the offer by using … (26 comments)

Stormy skies, turbulent times.

Feel like lashing out due to this latest storm? Instead, batten down, cast aside disparate feelings and irrational thought processes by drawing strength from past hardships. Deflect the dark, allowing in the light.

Head up, mind up, eyes up help to alleviate the unknowns that bring fear. Avoid blatant scapegoat-ism as you would not want that same vile hatred projected back on you. Hold tight until everything rights itself.

Will you remain dear to those who showed up en masse before the cacaphony or alienate one and all by callously disregarding their prior acts of kindness? Damages will be adequately assessed once the squall passes.

Rage is akin to a swollen, overburdened river, uprooting everything in it's path, recklessly grasping, pulling all in, 'til no longer fed by fury.  ~Wanda … (22 comments)

Striking tectonic rifts shilly-shally.

We've all heard the quote, "Into each life some rain must fall" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow but sometimes an unexpected, oversaturated deluge may occur while navigating the day.

Learning to cope with unforseen events is pertinent to surviving in business and in life. A negative incident can turn into something postively motivating, encouraging an invaluable learning experience.

Remaining present can also get you through the most trying of times, even when in the throes of a rampaging storm!

stormy weather ahead: Stormy weather. - 05/29/18 06:50 AM
Stormy weather.
At any time, anyone can be entering into a virtual storm...inside the storm...or exiting a storm. Most of us can say we have been there done that. How we deal with each phase is relative to how we live day in, day out.

This makes perfect sense in how to handle presented challenges. Taking a proactive stance when confronted with issues helps to get through 'the storm' to move forward. This relates to personal lives and business practices.

You might prepare as much as possible with solutions to prevent severe damage by preparing to ride the storm out, allow the storm to overtake you by doing nothing or leave it to others to take … (13 comments)

stormy weather ahead: Motivational Monday: Weathering a storm or basking in sunshine? - 03/18/12 11:00 PM
Motivational Monday: Weathering a storm or basking in sunshine?

An all encompassing storm holds hard, most tight, no invitation necessary to witness or participate.
Then suddenly, clouds shift, glorious light streaming in. Azure skies, calmness; the turbulence a mere memory.
Gaze yonder to the horizon. That be another one?
The nature of our industry can be chaotic, emotions getting the best of buyers and sellers as the desired end result is not forthcoming. Time is necessary for any well-honed plan to come to fruition and while there will be disappointments, there are sunshiny days too!
And time to C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E!

Speechless Sunday (almost!): Storm's a brewin'!

I took comfort in Mary Yonker's post, Let's Meet for Cup of Tea & Discuss the Budget. Without anger, malice, resentment or animosity, let's just chat over a cup of tea regarding solutions to the mess the government has created, I appreciate that Mary. Thank you.

The government apparently has lost track of what is truly important. So as they point fingers, yell and place blame, one thing is certain...they have forgotten the "We The People" part.

And a storm's a brewin'...!
