A home buyer once stated, "Real estate is not rocket science." Being a rocket scientist, she would know that! The client admitted knowing practically nothing about my industry. I had no clue about hers.
 
In an effort to impress, many agents prefer to practice outside of the knowledge base. They may purport a higher level of expertise by verbally purging from the front facing, lower facial, concave orifice. 
 
That should be avoided at all costs and can potentially end a career. Most consumers prefer a straightforward approach.

Agent gets a call from potential buyers, saying they saw her online and want to purchase in that area. Further pulling her in, they claim to have not been working with another agent.
 
She diligently gets started by:   -- Confirming they are pre-qualified -- Researching all available properties -- Driving to multiple, local neighborhoods  
After showing them several homes, they find the one to buy. When it comes time to sign paperwork on their dream home, she gets a "We need to think about this overnight."
