Brought over by foreigners, Day Lilies have existed in the United States of America since the 1700's. Also called, 'Beautiful for a Day', they bloom brilliantly, only to cycle through their life within a 24-hour period. Hence the given name.
 
Unerringly achieving set goals, Day Lilies create lasting impressions before passing on. Humans have a long lifespan, some making best use of time, others may foolishly believe they possess an endless supply of that valuable commodity.
