In an effort to show gratitude to those around me, for 10 days, I will be handing out a specially-made Thank You card, along with a token of appreciation to someone.
A message popped up in private messenger from a Facebook friend who was coming into St. George for a short overnight stay. We agreed to meet and have lunch at a favorite lunch spot in St. George, the Cliffside Restaurant.
Granted, we hadn't been face-to-face in many years but quickly caught up with one another. She drives a tour bus across the country, traveling to almost every state. Her and her husband also raised two boys, similar in age to ours.

Where do you rate on the Nice-o-Meter? As Christmas quickly approaches, much has already been decided by the big man in the red suit. It's never too late to do something nice for others. A phone call, a gift of homemade bread or cookies, a box of chocolate covered cherries or a knitted blanket throw are kind gestures.
However you celebrate the Reason for the Season, whether working or preparing for visitors or planning a family feast for dinner, we want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas with many amazing blessings ahead. It's looking promising from here in southern Utah!
You are a welcome sight every day. I wake to you and bid goodnight but you know what they say, nothing lasts forever and every good thing must eventually come to an end.
Sunny and stormy days shared with you every waking moment. Like a true best friend, you are ultra-dependable, showing up on time-every time, eager to begin another day.
We have: Shared every meal Achieved goals together Had disappointments too Celebrated special moments Expressed every dream possible Went shopping together in force Been inseparable every step of the way I am eternally grateful to you, for you and have very little time left together so will look forward with renewed hope and anticipation (4 comments)
Early in my career, I began receiving referrals across the country from the brokerage where I worked. When they closed the doors, I continued to get calls from around the United States from offices who knew people wanting to buy or sell in southern Utah.
I gladly accepted the referrals, knowing they could have potentially called any agent in the area. One particular person has, without fail, recommended my services to consumers. I am forever grateful for the confidence she carried in me back then and to this day.
At least 75% of my transactions are referral based now. Without people-to-people relationships, we are (6 comments)
Becoming a member of The Dixie Sunshiners has become one of the highlights of my working career. Meeting and greeting business people from all over Washington County, Utah allowed me to gain long-lasting relationships and also enhanced my Sphere of Influence.
Since then, I have gone emeritus from actively participating in the weekly events as an Ambassador to the St. George area. Imagine my surprise when a former Sunshiner called to ask if I wanted to sell his brother's house. I will be meeting for that listing appointment this morning!

Change is imminent, that is certain. Some people possess the ability to 'go with the flow' without missing a step, while others lament, stress and worry on incessantly about unexpected events, feeling powerless.
A book that helped me cope years ago was "Who moved my cheese?" I learned that sudden progression is not all about me and often has everything to do with outside forces. That life moves forward whether ready or not.
So many wonderful members here have gone on to other social media avenues or have simply taken a clear break from it all. Their choice, their way. The most recent being my friend and many (11 comments)
