My Honey Sent Me Flowers This Morning! It takes a few seconds, on a busy day to reach out to people you either love, do business with or in fact, matter in life. Imagine my surprise when waking up this morning, I had a series of photos in a text message from my husband, Michael. Immediately, my mood was elevated, making a great start to the day! Technology makes it easy to send a note, make a call or contact people through an email or a quick text. It's amazing the results that come from a simple step forward. Just do it and have

the power of flowers: Nerdin Gardens: Adieu Until Spring
- 10/05/23 06:54 PM
Nerdin Gardens: Adieu Until Spring Nature peacefully transcends darkness by bringing in light with sensory fortitude. Tomorrow, we will pull all plant material from the raised garden beds in Nerdin Gardens. The farewell is only temporary as we bid adieu until spring. The roses, however, are showing up in full living color for a lasting impression with a repeat performance. Wanda Kubat-Nerdin in Nerdin Gardens

Consulting with the Cosmos... This post is for anyone who may need a little cheer at this very moment. Challenging life situations are temporary. Remembering that will help guide you back to the light, from the darkest of places. In today's digital world, snapping and sending them costs nothing but a few moments and the results are ahhhh-mazing and so appreciated. Flowers often hold the power to lift my spirits when feeling down. The feature photo is of Cosmos flowers that come in white, yellow, pale & bright pink, orange, purple and red colors. They are daisy-like in appearance, easily grown, even in poor

the power of flowers: Nerdin Gardens: M-I-C-K-E-Y M-A-T-E-R!
- 10/14/21 09:37 AM
Nerdin Gardens: M-I-C-K-E-Y M-A-T-E-R! Did you sing M-I-C-K-E-Y M-A-T-E-R? I did! As the last of the fruits and vegetables are harvested from the back yard garden, I noticed a phenomenon that happens occasionally with nature. We had a trifecta tomato, three orbs formed together on one vine. I was delighted that it looked similar to Mickey Mouse's head and ears and quickly took a photo while singing... M-I-C-K-E-Y M-A-T-E-R...Mickey Mater! Happy gardening all.

the power of flowers: Nerdin Gardens: Repeat Performers
- 09/30/20 05:44 PM
Nerdin Gardens: Repeat Performers Once a life cycle completes, plant material goes dormant. For some of nature's people pleasers, it means the exciting opportunity for an encore, a spontaneous show in full-living-color! These Hollyhocks re-seeded themselves. Suddenly, a surprising, bright pop of color crops up again in the garden landscape. Pinks and yellows and magenta grab the attention, bringing on smiles. Many of us real estate professionals depend on repeat performances as well. When least expected, an email comes through from a past client, referring home buyers interested in southern Utah. Trusted referrals encourage sweet success, especially when initiated a number of times and I am always ready for a redux! Looking for a top producing Realtor that will go to work for

the power of flowers: Nerdin Gardens 2017: The Joys of Gardening
- 06/30/17 12:28 PM
Nerdin Gardens 2017: The Joys of Gardening Our back yard garden has always been a yearly labor of love for us. Much time and effort lends toward preparing the soil, sowing seeds, nurturing the plant material. Being responsible gardeners is also high on the list. We prefer pulling the weeds manually as an all-natural method. Adding flowers, praying mantis' and ladybugs work as pest control. Preventative maintenance allows optimum results when harvesting. We love the sounds that come from a healthy space and avoid harsh chemicals that can kill the wildlife around us, not to mention the soil. Our garden depends on nature's way to thrive or it will die. the power of flowers: Your mind is a garden.
- 06/15/17 05:39 AM
Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.
Every day brings opportunities to learn while enjoying life. Negative thoughts can stunt experiencing anything new, therefore impeding growth. Gaining information to use applies to every day. Just as our bodies need stimulation and exercise so does the brain. After all, it is one of the most important organs in the body and needs nourishment to stay healthy. Learn to weed out negative feelings when they come creeping in, crowding out the positive thoughts in the mind. Instead, look for something new or challenging to reignite or create a sense of adventure. No weeds here! I'm growing flowers. Are you? ............................................................... You gotta stop and smell the... ...roses. Going round and round the roundabout, I had to pull over on a side road to get a shot of this colorful landscape. It reminded me of Mac Davis's song, Stop and Smell the Roses. The song started in my head and before you know it, I was humming it for the rest of the afternoon. the power of flowers: To the nose-it-alls.
- 08/29/16 09:23 AM
To the nose-it-alls. Is your past recounted through sensory driven memories? Mine is. Rain showers damping down, saturating every available surface, pecan pie and cornbread baking in a coal heated oven and fried chicken are a few. The scent of a newborn child, muscadines, ripe cantaloupe, rising bread dough, pipe tobacco, buttermilk biscuits, campfire, sticky s'mores, fresh banana sandwiches are more reminders of cherished days gone by. Our neighbors came over to give us some of their fragrantly delicious home-grown peaches and a single 'Double Delight' rose to wish me well through the recovery of a broken ankle. A rose nose-it-all too! What are some of your favorite smells? .............................................................................. Thinking about moving to southern Utah?
