The True Reason for the Season!
Traveling through the wrought iron gate to a home of a dear friend to drop some homemade German chocolate cookies, I looked on the lawn and was taken by the life-size manger scene, re-enacting Jesus's birth.
Before leaving, I managed to snap a picture with the cell phone camera to remember that moment in time. The authentic feel of the scene, again, reminded me of the true meaning of this very special day.

This time of year is filled with festive, Christmas activities, holiday parties and dinner engagements, so eating healthy can be very difficult. Just remember, moderation in all things and let that be your guide through the buffet lines to the dessert table.
But...If you have any doubts, EAT DESSERTS FIRST!

A stealthy elfie-selfie!
Every year, prior to Christmas day, my husband and I shop for several friends and their fur babies. We pick a date, dress up in holiday apparel then park down the street, hidden from view.
We stealthily make our way to the front porch, drop the gifts, ring the bell and run like the dickens!
By the time they make an appearance at the door, we are long gone and on to the next house. This makes us very happy, giving us a positive boost while uplifting the spirits!

As we entered the festive venue, Christmas music was playing, capturing the holiday spirit, invigorating my very soul. This heart swelled for those special people who continue to surround me in love.
Everything suddenly went absolute quiet, allowing the man up front to speak to those present in the audience. He told us all to think of a wish that was to be blessed upon others as we neared the New Year.

Getting wrapped up in a worthy cause!
This morning to early afternoon was spent with hundreds of Coins for Kids volunteers with one goal in mind, to wrap Christmas gifts for thousands of local children in the Washington County, Utah area.
Imagine the joy on all those little faces when they open the presents on Christmas morning! THAT is the main reason I go every year and to pay back the organization for delivering gifts to my home back in 1996.

At times, the imagination takes over and it wanders to places that are surprising and comical, even to me! Imagine my delight when I found this yard art pattern at the store. Of course it was purchased, traced, cut out, painted and placed in the yard immediately. This is an oldy but goody and often brings a smile about the face when people read the message, enjoy!

Every year, a new idea for a Christmas card comes to mind as the imagination takes hold. This is the one that went sent to family, clients and friends. A little play on words with a fun theme.

One more day and Santa Claus's efforts will brighten the faces of many children with gifts under the Christmas tree. Hey all SGROOGES out there, make haste, get scarce!

"Nice," but you'd better watch out! I'm checking my list (twice!) and I see that the manners sometimes slip a bit.
