As a nice way to wrap up summer, today is a great opportunity to celebrate all hard-working Americans. Take some time to relax, after all you've earned it! Whether it is catching up on reading, fishing, spending time in the garden, taking a leisurely walk or road trip, biking a favorite canyon or driving a golf ball down the fairway at a local golf course. Whatever you decide is right for you.
This is the day to spend your way unless clients are in town and then, it's just another work day and a Labor of Love. Enjoy and thank you all for your continued (20 comments)
A strong work ethic matters when growing a garden. There are no days off unless inclement weather threatens, pushing everyone indoors, but even then, the most dedicated will ensure all chores are done before doing so.
There are only three seasons for avid gardeners: Before harvest Harvest and After harvest This means much patience in waiting for what was put in the ground to come up vertically. Planting requires being on time, every time or be late in everything and nature strongly disagrees with loosely laid plans.
We continuously reap a bountiful harvest, by the seeds of our plants!
Whimsical comes to mind upon discovering this cucumber in Nerdin Gardens while picking the day's harvest in the back yard. All elements culminated, producing this wondrous delight. Nature must have a sense of humor because this tickled the funny bone!
Happy Saturday all!

While it is expected for industry professionals to provide home buyers and sellers advice based on market conditions, sales, statistics and real estate trends so they may move forward and make a commitment.
It is never okay to inject fear into the conversation, potentially forcing a quick decision. That can be very counterproductive by ratcheting up emotions, tempering distrust and quashing a successful end.
Instead, create a competitive edge. Let the client know that other people may be looking at the same home and if they want to 'sleep on it', it may go under contract quickly and they could miss out on the home of their dreams.
Each day lends an opportunity to see things from a totally different perspective. When a situation goes awry, a day or two may be what is needed to set a new course toward gaining ground on an informed decision.
Some clients get cold feet, others want more bend from the other side while many are anxiety-ridden with the 'what-if's' scenario. As agents we are able to bring solid, fact-based information to help guide clients.
This morning allows another discussion with the builder to discuss potential buyer scenarios. If all goes well, my clients will move forward on a new home that will serve them (12 comments)
This year seems to be one of the best in the history of our back yard garden. Processes and reliable systems are in place that ensure success. Fall is approaching and with it, the end for many fruits and vegetables in this growing season.
Some plants go dormant until spring arrives next year, while some need to be re-planted along the tilled rows in raised beds. All material will be removed, along with detritus and the dirt covered to prevent weeds from overtaking.
Until then, we are still picking and grinning in Nerdin Gardens as Mother Nature provides an abundance and Father Time (12 comments)
