While it is expected for industry professionals to provide home buyers and sellers advice based on market conditions, sales, statistics and real estate trends so they may move forward and make a commitment.
It is never okay to inject fear into the conversation, potentially forcing a quick decision. That can be very counterproductive by ratcheting up emotions, tempering distrust and quashing a successful end.
Instead, create a competitive edge. Let the client know that other people may be looking at the same home and if they want to 'sleep on it', it may go under contract quickly and they could miss out on the home of their dreams.
Tried and true methods implemented consistently gain desirable results. Hard work remains a priority for most of us, though some think taking an easier approach takes precedence. Have you ever been taken by a heavy hitting, high pressure salesperson who promised spectacular results but instead were lackluster?

Besides, people at that time, were buying or building few upper-end homes in the area. Those in the industry that survived that last downturn in the market can attest to the importance of trusted business relationships.

Many new recruits are lured into real estate with the perception of instant success, that expensive cars, lavish trips and endless cash flow will magically appear after getting licensed. Disillusioned, once they learn the truth, they quickly exit the industry through frustration.

Business success depends on passion, a strong work ethic along with a trusted network of like-minded people. Through the years, being involved in many 'in-person' networking groups and organizations made me re-think work strategies. I realized very quickly that a small, established core group of people were getting amazing results while other members that did most of the work gained little, to no return for their efforts.
