St. George Utah is SpRiNgInG into the SeAsOn! A friend and I took a stroll yesterday with a little SpRiNg in our step to the downtown St. George Town Square to take a few photos of the new SpRiNg buds and blooms dotting the landscape. Their vibrant SpRiNg colors beckoned a closer look and we obliged!
This variety of cacti knows how to show off it's best features. Show off indeed!
Peace roses offer a tranquil presence, never loud and boisterous but ever so subtle. Simply gorgeous!
For several years, we have wondered if this tiny clematis plant would make it through every winter and finally bloom. Well, our curiosity was satisfied as it has finally flowered out. Mother Nature and I hope you have enjoyed our Blooming (16 comments)
The southern Utah 10-day forecast calls for sunshine, clear skies with just a hint of cloud cover on 2 of those days. Just what the flowers need to bless us with their beauty. Even Mother Nature has patriotic tendencies...where the red & white meets the blue! Happy Wednesday! ............................................................................. Today is the: "Paradise in Dixie Luau" Business Professional's Day Luncheon, sponsored by the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce. Date: April 25, 2012 Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Place: Dixie Gardner Center, Dixie State College Delicious Hawaiian food, amazing entertainment and FUN prizes! (12 comments)
Spring continues to add a dash here and a delightful splash there as southern Utah comes alive in vibrant color! I am reminded of orange and raspberry sherbet Push Up treats for the boys when they were young, they refreshed their hot, little bodies after playing in the heat of the day. And I enjoyed them every bit as much as they did!
These are sure signs that Spring is indeed here in southern Utah! Hope you're all enjoying the benefits that nature provides by initiating a new season filled with ambition and renewal. Happy Spring from my two lips to yours! (15 comments)
Mother Nature has done it again, stopping me in my tracks by getting lippy! You could almost hear the screech of my shoes moving across the sidewalk as I came to a complete halt to get this shot of these red tulips intermixed with daffodils in southern Utah. "Pick me!" "No, pick me!", I heard them shout out...so I did, I PICKED ALL THESE LIPPY FLOWERS!
The smaller tulip appears to be looking up at the bigger one and saying, "I'm going to be just like you when I grow up!" I am so lucky to see the beauty that St. George and the southern Utah area offers every season, every day and as often as I can, I take pictures in order to share it with all of you. Happy Wednesday everyone! (21 comments)
