wordless wednesday: Getting their just desserts! - 04/23/13 11:21 PM

Getting their just desserts!
I am a strong believer in Karma and while I would not wish anyone due harm, I believe that people eventually get what they deserve!
Individuals who:
Take advantage of others when they are down Steal from them or  Intentionally deceive for their own gain ...have no place in my world.
They may eventually reap the results of their bad behavior and poor choices by getting their just desserts!
And I don't mean tiramisu! No way. No how!

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Going down in a blaze of color. - 09/18/12 11:25 PM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Going  down in a blaze of color.

This photo was taken from our front yard when the wildfires were almost to our house. The combination of electrical storms and a dry summer created a perfect environment for quick-start burns. Thankfully nature played a huge part when the rains came, becoming a great deterrent to further destruction.
The sun went down in a blaze of color. Glory be!

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Quit yer squalling! - 08/22/12 12:04 AM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Quit yer squalling!

Here it comes! A solid sheet of rain transcending over the landscape, hurriedly crossing the valley, dousing every nook and cranny in its path. We are getting our fair share of moisture these past few weeks as the clouds dissipate, build again, then spill several times during the day. Rinse and repeat!
I prefer a slow and steady rain so quit yer squalling Mother Nature...uh, that is just a request, I would never dream of telling you how to go about your business.
Happy Wednesday! The ducks are going to have a hey-dey to-day!

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Reach out, reach out and touch someone. - 07/18/12 06:20 AM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Reach out, reach out and touch someone.   Hollyhocks are one of my favorite flowers and known to grow upright, stretching toward the sky, their stalks often measuring between six to ten feet and even taller. Apparently this one wished to come down at eye level and say hello to all who hurried past. Hey! Nice to meet you Holly and thank you for reaching out, you certainly brightened my moment! Happy Wednesday all! … (14 comments)

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday (almost!): I myself centered... - 05/01/12 10:35 PM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): I myself centered...

It is well-known that people who are self-centered tend to be selfishly engrossed in themselves to the point of being egotistical.   It is impossible for a flower to possess this human trait but would venture to say that I, myself, centered on this beautiful daisy that was independent of all the other surrounding flowers.   OK, so I admit that I am Crazy for Daisies!   Are you? Crazy? For daisies?   Happy Wednesday all!   ...............................................................

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): There's a bright spot in every dark cloud. ~ Bruce Beresford

Wind kicking up dirt, tumbleweeds scurrying across the roadways, narrowly avoiding passing cars on their way to safety. Early Spring weather has brought some blooms and buds along with thick, roiling clouds in the form of a storm.

Suddenly a beam of light breaks through to bid adieu, adios, avedazane, 'au revoir, with promises to return, come the new day.

And so shall I! Happy Wednesday to you all.

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday (almost!): In one second. One minute. One hour. One day. - 01/11/12 12:53 AM
Wordless Wednesday (almost!): In one second. One minute. One hour. One day.

Calm weather here in southern Utah while a storm rages up north as my brother-in-law will be fighting for his life. After experiencing fuzziness in his right eye, he thought maybe the retina was detaching but received devastating news; a melanoma behind his eye. They will take his eye to save his life while looking for more cancer.
Kathy Streib’s post really hits home as there is nothing we can do but pray for the best outcome and be available when needed. My heart is heavy for him … (24 comments)

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Memory bank.

Afternoons spent trout fishing...skipping stones across the water...tickling the toes in the shallows...a child's excitement... catching...releasing...baiting crawdads...exploring the nearby trails and streams...tenting it...meeting fellow fishing enthusiasts...sharing stories of the ones that got away...

Do you have a favorite memory bank?

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): It wasn't me!

Someone ripped the toilet paper roll to pieces, shredding the paper from the bathroom, down the hallway into the living room? It wasn't me!Fang holes in the bread bag? It wasn't me!Claw marks on the new couch upholstery? It wasn't me!
Whoever did all that must have slipped out the kitty door right before you came home.

What do you mean we do not have a kitty door?

Uh...um...Nevermind!

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): A lot to be desired.

The Cliffs at Snow Canyon offer unparalelled red rock views that are much to be desired. Visitors travel from across the world year 'round to take photos, walk the many city trails (over 110 miles) or hike the local state and national parks scattered throughout southern Utah. This property overlooks the majestic Red Mountain and dense lava beds and a buyer will eventually have a lot to be thankful for in this peaceful community!

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Cougar spotted in downtown St. George, Utah park!

Thanks to Art Around the Corner, the downtown St. George area has come alive with animals such as this realistic bronze sculpture, Silent Stalker by Brady Fairbanks. There are 23 works of art sporadically placed among the many gardens and sidewalks from 200 North Street to Tabernacle Street.

Be aware: You just may come face-to-face with a soaring eagle, frollicking pony, a puffed up prince or a stealthy cougar! Prepare to be delighted!

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday: Touch-me-not! - 11/09/11 12:58 AM
Wordless Wednesday: Touch-me-not!

Look but don't dare touch this plant unless you wish to be speared by its spiky points that are hidden among fern-like leaves. Birds flitter with ease over, around under and through the foliage, easily escaping its needle-like tips.
This Honeybean Mesquite tree has a built-in defense system that sprouts 3 inch spikes that have been known to puncture tennis shoes and tires. The wood from the tree is used to create a smoky flavor to meats when barbecuing.
Now, do you see why this is a touch-me-not type of plant?
I'll gladly comply.

Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Size matters not, … Look at me. Judge me by size, do you? — Yoda

They may be small in stature but can Get-It-Done just as well as their larger counterparts. It may take more steps and more energy but sure enough at the end of the day, they can rest assure that size did not play a part in a job left half done or less than standard.
And besides, according to Yoda, size does not matter!
