Time spent visiting with Agents is never wasted time. In the Bourbonnais-Kankakee Area winter is here and with winter comes the biggest slowdown of the year. How nice would it be to live in sunny Florida or Arizona for the whole year and be able to inspect year 'round? Too bad, I'm not moving. But I do a few things that make the winter a productive time for my business.
1. Office visits become a major priority. Visiting with agents or making an office presentation at a team meeting is easier to schedule in the fall and winter. And I always bring food.

This thing was looking at me. I swear. The Creature from the green lagoon. What a great movie title. I'm now thinking it would only be great in Hollywood, not on my home inspection. I was inspecting a home in Kankakee, Illinois and while inspecting the roof, I saw something floating in the pool that I have not been able to identify. I actually do Mold and air quality testing, but something told me that this was more than just a simple aspergillus/penicillium. Mild or not, there's still time to check your furnace. Winter has been pretty mild in Bourbonnais, Illinois and all across the mid west this year. In fact, there are areas suffering from severe flooding as I write this post. There are a few things that are worse than a furnace acting up in the middle of the winter, but for the life of me I can't think of any right now. Your furnace needs an annual checkup and if you put it off until now, you're asking for trouble. Waiting until the snow flies means you waited about 3 months too long. Where should 2016 marketing money be spent? Great question. Home Inspections in the Kankakee Bourbonnais Bradley Illinois area have been dominated by a very small number of inspectors for years. We are a rather odd kind of market. Very close to Chicago with a very definate rural surrounding. Often I overhear a Chicago visitor comment that we are just so much closer than he realized to the city. It's 60 miles but they think we're in El Paso,Texas.
