This post really caught my eye. I tell buyers all the time about taking care of their new home. maitaining it one of the best things they can do to keep or improve the value of the home. Fall is a great time to catch up on a few jobs you may have put off over the busy summer. Maybe it was so hot and rainy or smokey, but before winter, it would be a great idea to wrap up the house for winter and tackle a few inside jobs. 10 years and still growing. Hard to believe it's nearly ten years in business as a full time home inspector. But I've enjoyed every minute and can't wait for what's to come. 2009- At this time in 2009 I was working for another company in the building materials industry and had completed less than 20 inspections, total in 2 1/2 years. I was frustrated as a territory manage for that company and requested a demotion to prevent my brain from exploding from the ignorance of dealing with stupid sales and regional managers. Winter is not Coming, It's here and it's Mad Old Man Winter is here and he's here with a vengeance. It's Furnace Time! Winter was pretty rough in Bourbonnais, Illinois last year and it's even worse this year. There are a few things that are worse than a furnace acting up in the middle of the winter, but for the life of me I can't think of any right now. Your furnace needs an annual checkup and if you put it off until now, you're asking for trouble. Waiting until the snow flies means you waited about 3 months too long.
