Before I leave this great city, I thought that I would share a few sights with you.....I'll be back in the States tomorrow and look forward to finding some time to catch up with you all! Japan - Old and New...you find Temples in the midst of the bustling city Japanese Style...clean lines, yet elegant. This is actually the lobby of the apartment building where we are staying. Shopping in Akasuka....the equivalent of our 'Flea Market' Now, here's a familiar sign! Yes, they are located all over Japan! AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, This one's for you, Carole! BUDDHA TEMPLE IN KAMAKURA Hello my fellow 'rainers'! I'm in Japan for 10 days and loving the country! I am staying in Tokyo which feels a lot like Manhattan to me....well except for the language barrier! I am learning a lot about Japanese design while here and will be filling you in on what I learn. The Japanese are a very respectful and peace-filled society. Tokyo has more than 12 million inhabitants and yet the city is immaculate! There is hardly a trash can to be found in this city because disposing of trash is a major problem. You would think (17 comments)
