Don't miss out on a slice of apple pie and good old American hometown fun this weekend with the City of Lincoln's 4th of July Festival. It all starts at 9:00 AM with a "Happy Birthday America" parade. Spend the rest of the morning at McBean Park for live music and little miss Lincoln pageant. The day will end with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:30 PM. Take a picnic dinner and head on over to the park at sunset then wait for the fireworks show after dark.

We here in the City of Lincoln we have a very unique feature to our topography, clay. Yes, I said clay, Lincoln is know for it's large deposit of some the finest clay soil to be found anywhere. Here in Lincoln we have the historic Gladding McBean terra cotta factory, where they mostly make large sewer pipes but also are known for their world renowned terra cotta architectural pieces.
