home marketing tips: From Vacant to Staged to Contract First Staged Week! - 11/14/09 06:02 PM
Lets admit it, there's nothing too exciting about vacant homes.  The other day I was in a vacant home that actually echoed,  it was spooky and wasn't even Friday the 13th or Halloween. 
This most recent house that I staged for another Realtor is a newer  2 story home with great curb appeal, but was vanilla bland inside.  I think I helped it a bit at least enough for a contract!  The owner recently changed the kitchen counters to granite which  helped immensely as well.

CRANK UP THE CURB APPEAL!
      MY GRANDMOTHER had a sewing machine that you cranked and now I have a sewing machine with a computer chip inside with funky stitches that most of them  I hardly ever use.  
      The old crank machines were easy to understand  - turn the wheel and the needle went up and down through the fabric creating a nice basic straight stitch.  It was a simple basic approach to sewing. I miss the simple approach.
