A Little Pine Cone Experiment; Do you know why a pine cone is all tight and closed sometimes and open at other times? Before you decorate the tree, gather a few pine cones. If they have been in the house they will be open. Place the pine cones in a bowl of ice water. Now, go decorate the tree! When you are done, check on your pine cones.
