From the Westlake Patch- Building the world headquarters for American Greetings took another step forward Thursday night as Westlake City Council approved the revised preliminary development plan for the project. The 660,000 square foot building and the adjacent parking garage will be built on the southern end of Crocker Park. The planning commission approved the plans, with conditions, at its Aug. 27 meeting. The French Creek Merchants Association has paired up with the French Creek Development Association and other local organizations to host the city’s annual Fall into Avon, a Celebration of Autumn festival Sept. 8-9.
