According to NewsGenius, e-brief, ZipRealty is preparing to lay off all associates in it's 35 markets and hire them back as "independant contractors". Not surprising to me as "REALTORS" have always been "independant contractors" from it's inception. Being "Independent" in my opinion is one strong reason that "Realtors" (not to be confussed with "Real Estate Sales People", cannon of ethics says that we put our CLIENTS best interest above and beyond ANYONE else including ourselves.
