Halloween Fun in Steamboat Springs, CO Halloween is one of our favorite holidays here in Steamboat Springs, CO. We never know if it will be unseasonably warm or freezing temperatures and pounding snow, but the latter does not stop this community from gathering in the streets of downtown for our annual Halloween Stroll. This time-honored trick-or-treating tradition is fun for the entire family. In fact, you don't need to have kids to enjoy this one. Dress up, or don't, head downtown and stand in awe at the costumes, displays and shenanigans. Last year, Phoenix, Routt County's fire-breathing dragon made an appearance, along with a brigade of green Army soldiers and two Planet (3 comments)
One of the coolest things about summer in Steamboat Springs, CO is the abundance of free live music. From Howelsen Hill's Keepin' It Free Steamboat Summer Concert Series, to Music on the Mountain at Gondola Square, to Music on the Green at Yampa River Botanic Park and countless places in between, there is no shortage of music in this town. family friendly: Halloween in Steamboat Springs

Halloween in Steamboat Springs One of the things that makes Steamboat special is the sense of community fostered here. And one of THIS community's favorite times of year is Halloween. You won't find us in our neighborhoods knocking on doors on Halloween night though. We, and I mean ALL of us whether you have kids or not, will be at the Downtown Halloween Stroll on Lincoln Avenue. That's where, for over 30 years, our community has gathered to trick-or-treat at downtown businesses. Men, women, children and dogs congregate in costume and celebrate on Lincoln Avenue, which is closed for the event.
The end of Spring Break typically marks the time where we parents turn our attention to planning the kids' summer camps and activities. To help in preventing the dreaded words, "I'm bored" from escaping your child's mouth this summer, I have created a a list of day camps, sport and other activity camps taking place in Steamboat Springs. I hope these ideas contribute to the entire family's summer happiness.

Location, Schools, Location In real estate, we are always touting "location, location, location" when the fact is schools can be pretty darn important too, especially if your buyer has a family. Luckily for me, Steamboat Springs, CO is not only the epitome of location, our schools rock too! Once again the Steamboat Springs School District was honored by the Colorado Department of Education as one of the best school district's in the state. The district was one of 16 awarded the "Accredited with Distinction" honor for overall performance.
