As the snow melts, we are seeing glimpses of green grass and hyacinth sprouting around the 3-foot berms of snow we still have lining our driveways. There is such a thing as change for the better. Steamboat Springs Real Estate Market Rebounds The numbers indicate there Steamboat Springs Market is experiencing a rebound. The mountain area had the highest number of transactions at almost 32% and the mountain area had over 51% of the total dollar volume for January 2013. The columns titles appear to be switched but you get the idea.
24% of the sales in January were between $300,001 and $500,000 - see chart below:
Total numbers for 2011 and 2012 are below. Overall, gross dollar volume of residential homes in 2012 increased from $309,438,000 to $347,170,000

Bears, deer, moose, elk, raccoon, fox, even skunks are often seen on a regular basis living in Steamboat Springs. I remember 8 years ago when I moved here we saw 2 black bears in our backyard the first day. Later that week I drove through Yellowstone and remember being stuck in a huge traffic jam while people looked at a couple bears about 100 yards away. This marks the third consecutive month this year that foreclosure notices have increased nationally. There was definitely more to be thankful for in November than family, friends, football and turkey. What we lacked in snow fall, we made up for in real estate sales in November.
